Plenty of PTPTN office....they even opening branches in shopping mall, last year went to PTPTN office at Giant Shopping Mall at USJ.....2 officer 1 cashier...not much people there, so, no need to queue
*
Yes, that's right. Their hotline also works on weekends. They are only worried if you don't pay. laugh.gif
Anyway, I went to Megan Avenue, the HQ for PTPTN, fast and efficient. laugh.gif

After settling all my stuff, I don't think I will need to go back anymore since I can settle everything via online. biggrin.gif

fruitie, did you restructure ur PTPTN loan ?

there is several forumer mentioned when we restructure the loan , out ptptn will actually flag with "T", then they fail to apply CC ..
it will be good if we can have proof of the T really exist in ccris report that we normally get
or it is only printed in banking institution version of CCRIS report ?
*
Yes, mine is restructured back in Oct 2016 and true all my credit card applications were rejected until April. I tried again in July, two banks approved mine (I applied two and both approved) and even my bankers said I'm clear for housing loan. I just bought a house.

Almost all new pinjaman are Ujrah. So no issue, I'm also Ujrah.

If you plan to settle a lot one shot, Conventional is good because you can save on interest but if you plan to pay according to schedule, Ujrah is good. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

Regardless, once you are on Ujrah, you cannot go back to Conventional anymore.

so did u ever c any "T" remark on CCRIS report ?
u were in ujrah 1% before you restructure or were u still in conventional 3% loan before you restructure?
i remember that converting from 3% to 1% does not count as restructure ..
*
Nope. I just looked at the one I printed in April. No "T".
I was with conventional 3% and forced to change to 1%. I thought mine is restructured because I was barred from going overseas. laugh.gif

Yeaa....i think you are right!
I also plan to pay accordingly via AMEX during weekend until pay off.
its only 1% which is much lower than any loan out there

but its huge amount 20K++  rclxub.gif  balance duration 10 years++ to pay...
*
Even if you early settle, you still need to pay for the interest.
Mine is 25 years, nearly 60k. laugh.gif

Probably, fruitie can help you on this smile.gif

Sorry, I can't because I don't use auto-debit. I pay manually every month to earn 5% cash back. laugh.gif
Perhaps others who did auto-debit can advise.

Payment via FPX entitle for 0.2% CB using CIMB Cash Rebate MC?
*
0% because it is government transactions. No point using that card.

Thanks! Then I will have to opt for Jompay via CIMBClicks using Cash Rebate MC for 0.2% then
*
Why not apply for other cards like PBB Quantum, VS or M2Cards? I'm using M2AmEx to pay every month.

I'm playing a lump sum to get -10% which M2C will max out at RM1000 or RM50 CB and part of my M2C had already been utilised for petrol, groceries, TNB, TM etc...
*
Then apply other cards to pay for PTPTN or your other bills. 0.2% cash back is pathetic.

Budget 2018 updates for PTPTN:

1) Grace period given for the settlement of loans has been extended to 12 months after their studies have ended, compared to the six months currently practised.

2) A 20% discount will be given to those who fully settle their loan.

3) A 10% discount will be given those who settle 50% of what they owe.

4) A 10% discount will be given to those who pay back via salary cuts or direct debit according to schedule.

This year 15% for 50% payment

Well 2018 is not worth paying 50% off

But it is worth to pay up all.
*
Nope, this year is 10% as well for 50% repayment. 15% is for full repayment.

4 years should be enough wat..

Account II is only 20%. Assuming if one earns 10k, 23% contribution per month (11%+12%) = 2300 with only RM 460 goes into account 2.
460*48 months = 22,080.

My Degree course is 64k. laugh.gif Though my Acc 2 is sufficient to pay back the balance I owe now, I will still reluctant. laugh.gif

QUOTE(Ancient-XinG- @ Nov 1 2017, 05:21 PM)
1% only.... why so hurry. as long as you pay monthly... and the 10% off as bonus. Spend your 50k somewhere else give you better return...

Pay is better than those scums not paying
*
Yes, that's right. However, the feeling of debt free is really wonderful. tongue.gif
