QUOTE(notoriousfiq @ Nov 3 2017, 09:47 AM) I'm no where near 10k, but I think my ac 2 is higher than that.. idk.. Hmm, isn't it good we have 20% now? kinda jealous I missed the chance to enjoy this.. Even if you say, better invest money elsewhere, this 20% is also an immediate return of 20% for our money in a way. To me, Future value and Present value matters too. But hey, what do I know.. Inflation kicks in, let's say my outstanding is RM 50k, the value is different 20 years later. It may be worthless by that time.

QUOTE(Icehart @ Nov 3 2017, 07:52 PM) If you have the ability to settle at 20% discount one lump sum I would usually suggest to take the offer. Be debt free. Wonderful feeling oh. Yes, best feeling ever. Now hoping Bitcoin will continue growing so that I may use it to clear debt.

QUOTE(UserU @ Nov 9 2017, 02:21 PM) If I were to pay via credit card, are there any benefits or it's just the same as online transfer? Want some rebates or points. Yes, pay with M2AmEx on weekends can get 5% cash back. Online transfer incurrs RM 0.53 while paying via CC incurs no charges. This post has been edited by fruitie: Nov 9 2017, 02:50 PM

If I'm not mistaken, PTPTN has a date every month which will update their payment account. I was travelling over the weekend and I forgot to pay to maximize my AmEx 5% cash back. Since next Saturday is on 25th, I believe it's still not too late to pay to ensure it will be effected as this month's payment? The payment will be updated instantly on the penyata baki though once i pay with AmEx.
On top of the above, I have 6 months advanced payments and few PTPTN officers confirmed these payments will be used to offset my future payments in case I miss any payment.

QUOTE(ATSM @ Dec 11 2017, 02:39 AM) hi,ya i think she mistook it,she just got blacklisted on traveling overseas.but how to help her out of blacklist?the ptptn person only ask her to pay back everything, the person said they can restructure(?) the period, but it is not worth it for her.but she doesn't have enough cash to settle all in 1 shot. Try another officer. Usually they will accept 20% to 50% and once this payment is made, travel ban will be uplifted immediately.

QUOTE(ATSM @ Dec 13 2017, 01:33 AM) hi,thanks for the advice!will ask her to try her luck tomorrow, hopefully able to lift up her blacklist as she is in need to take some loan from bank.hopefully other officers are more generous,as her loan amount is very little only, and will be paying back starting now as well. but if she's not mistaken, when she went to the booth to talk, the person told her because her loan period is until march 2018 only, does that affect her blacklist in any way?will she still be out of the blacklist if she pay 20%-50% and every month direct debit? Travel ban will be uplifted but dented CCRIS may require a year to normalize. For now, any loans or credit services and products from banks will not be approved due to dented CCRIS. If she's in KL, I suggest her to go to the HQ in Megan Avenue near KLCC, based on my own experience, they are more professional.

QUOTE(zanza9701 @ Dec 25 2017, 04:55 PM) hi, just curious. if someone who have no intention at all to settle their PTPTN loan, and one day something happen to him (death/disable to work), the insurance will pay their loan to PTPTN or not? this issue has been in my mind several days ago. If the answer is yes, I think it is unfair to people who are trying to pay even a small amount of money and some people will take advantage of this loophole. Some people are lucky that they could afford to buy house and car because several years ago PTPTN still not use CCRIS. since it will not affect them unless they want to travel oversea or make loan again. Thanks . How's this unfair? You can only "enjoy" this insurance if you are dead or permanently disabled. If you are consistently paying your loan, you can buy house and car too. My CCRIS wasn't good too and I only started paying consistently effective last year's Oct with advanced payments too and I already bought a house this year's August with a few approved CCs in between. My CCRIS is already normalized.

QUOTE(Zanmai0146 @ Dec 26 2017, 12:12 AM) what for? really if u borrow already then pay. you borrow lets say 60k fromm PTPTN so you die and your life only worth 60k? Abit pathetic Not for you but for your immediate family. At least they are not burdened by your debts after you die. Nothing to do with how much your life worth.

QUOTE(Zanmai0146 @ Dec 26 2017, 12:19 AM) this is already compulsory since the day you sign the agreement. you got no choice what, they billed it automatically Yes and why suddenly you brought in the discussion about how much your life worth? That's not the intention of this insurance.

QUOTE(Asenav @ Jan 1 2018, 09:57 PM) Hey guys, how long would it take for the officers to prepare the new agreement for restructured loan? If possible I plan to get it done by this month. So far I've been paying on time (no tunggakan), but I foresee my finances to be tight this year, so would like to restructure. Restructuring agreement will be given on the spot.

Funny though to request for cert and transcript. Even today if I didn't manage to graduate, I still need to pay back right? PTPTN won't let you go off.

QUOTE(Asenav @ Jan 6 2018, 09:37 AM) Alright, then any documents I need to prepare beforehand? I understand that 2 setem hasil are needed. Nothing. Even setem hasil will be provided by them, you just pay to them. Of course money, before restructuring, you will need to pay the outstanding amount (if any).

QUOTE(randoll @ Feb 4 2018, 10:51 AM) Hi all, need advice on my situation. I have tunggakan in my ptptn about RM2k, but never miss a payment every month for the last 12 months. I am applying for a housing loan now. Will the tunggakan appear in my ccris report and affect my loan application? Tunggakkan or total outstanding? Tunggakkan means you have missed payments earlier? If that's the case it will be reported in CCRIS.

QUOTE(randoll @ Feb 4 2018, 11:17 AM) Thanks for the pointer. Tunggakan due to 1st few years never bother pay on time. Last 2 years have been chasing the payment and manage to reduce tunggakan to 2k. Why not go and clear the RM 2k tunggakan? I cleared mine RM 6k in 2016 Oct, I applied housing loan in August 2017 and got approved.
