Monitor your statement if you're being charged for that. Late payment charge should be 1% of your outstanding or RM 5 whichever is higher.

Plus it's not a good habit to have if you want to take care of your credit history.

I have been charged for late payment on my HSBC Visa last year as I have forgotten and the oustanding was so small. RM 5 is charged! Damn!

Added on February 4, 2008, 3:14 pmGuys,
I am new to the world of CC, currently holding a CIMB CC.

1 question here:
Let say i withdraw cash from CIMB ATM using CIMB CC, is there any additional charge will be issued to me?
Can someone explain to me about this cash withdrawal things using CC..

Appreciate. thanks flex.gif
*
Yes. There're charges. It's called cash advance facility. There's a withdrawal fee of 5% of withdrawn amount or RM 50 whichever higher and the financial charge (interest rate) is 18% p.a. or 1.5% p.m. is starting to be charged from the date of withdrawal.

My friend who applied Petronas-Maybank Visa from the booth at Giant got his application approved faster than me. He's expecting his card by this week or early of next week.

On the other hand, I accidentally submitted a Call-Me application for Citibank CC online yesterday and never expect that they'll call so fast today. Anyway, I'm still considering this since payment wise isn't so comfortable unless I have to spare RM 2 for IBG.

I got a few questions.

-I earn about RM 3500 monthly before tax / epf. which is 42k per year.
-I only have 1 credit card from maybank which have a credit limit of RM 6000 (issued 2 months ago)

The question is, why when i apply for HSBC classic visa, i get rejected. And i got a One card from UOB recently and the credit limit is only RM 4000. Is there anyway to get a higher credit limit?

Thanks in advance.

Try CIMB DA Gold, CIMB Petronas Mastercard Gold or Maybank Petronas Visa Gold. All cards are free for life without conditions. Usually gold cards offer you higher credit limit.

Does payment using Mastercard Paypass require signature? Tried Paypass at KFC and they asked me to signed the printout even though they used the Paypass terminal.

Used Visa Wave at Carrefour and the approval is so slow! Decided to use the slot in method after minutes of waiting. sweat.gif

Mastercard Paypass does not need a signature. I've used MC Paypass at Isetan outlets before (One of the early adopters before it fizzles out. Now don't see they use the terminals anymore) and they never ask for signature. Probably the KFC staff was unsure and asked for a signature anyway.  hmm.gif

I also feel strange too but I'm pretty sure that they used the Paypass terminal.

hye, Happy CNY to you if you're a Chinese. Otherwise, enjoy your long weekend.

Called Maybank CSE just now and they just received my application for the Petronas Visa CC.

And my problem with CIMBClicks is sorted of closed (solved). The CSE terminated my old CIMBClicks account and I registered a new CIMBClicks account with different username and CIMB DA. Now, I'm able to view my BSA and CC details. Guess what Chester said is quite true, the CIMBClicks system pulls inter-connected information based on NRIC.

I just know it got maximum rebate for RM50 (which is RM2500 each month).....
*

Hi all, for Maybank Petronas CC, is there any hidden fees or is there any cons of the card?
*
I don't think that there's any hidden fee.

By the way, who has got or starting to use Maybank Petronas Visa CC?

Might apply the CIMB one later if x5 treatpoints no more.
*
Well, if my application is approved. Planning to replace my MBB Visa Classic with this card later if they couldn't waive the annual fee.

Here comes another frustating stories on my CIMBClicks. Just discovered that a CIMBClicks account registered with CC has less "privilege" or feature. Basically one couldn't perform many transactions even though you could see your saving/current account(s) details. For instance, paying the CC bill (outstanding) using your SA/CA.

Would like to ask some help regarding Direct Access (Now CIMB) credit card. Is there anyway I can check for my financial statement for my CC from CIMB website? Normally I have to call customer service to ask for how much I owe. Its getting troublesome. Thanks.
*
Get a PIN for ATM access for your CIMB DA CC.

Then generate a e-PIN for Internet Banking facility.

With CIMBClicks Internet Banking, you can monitor your CC transactions online.

Don't think such form exist for this card. (I think this scheme exist for the DA cards) Why don't just apply for it the normal way ?

I don't think that DA still got member-get-member programme anymore. Their latest application form doesn't have that section.
