@goldfries,
Me been using the MBP for almost 11 months oredi *knock ur head* And like u said, if ur usage doesn't warrant an MBP then no point wasting the $ tongue.gif

@lilredridinghood,
There's a 0.6kg difference if I'm not mistaken. Between 1.8-1.9kg for the MB and 2.5kg for MBP - it does make a difference actually! *grins* blush.gif I use to carry a 1.7kg 12.1" Fujitsu, and now i find the MBP a little heavy but I knew about the weight before I bought it cause i wanted a bigger screen *grins*

Ah well.. nothing's perfect right? tongue.gif

no offense, gal.

MB weight is more than 2kg (including battery of cos) and it is almost the same weight as MBP (15" punya). I own one MB and it is darn heavy i would say for 13.3" laptop.

To be more specific, I went to apple site.

Weight: 5.0 pounds (2.27 kg) - MB
Weight: 5.4 pounds (2.45 kg) - MBP (15")
Weight: 6.8 pounds (3.08 kg) - MBP (17")

Hell yeah for the 17". and fugly looks too, especially the keyboard "thingy" shakehead.gif

@allvin,
My bad for not checking proper - i compared the MBP to a Fujitsu S series @ <1.8kg for the smaller screen. Didn't compare it with the MB - thanks for the clarification.

@xaw5126,
Good !! At least I know my MBP has a long enough life span. Will probably be time to change notebooks by then smile.gif I wonder if I'll wait till 2011!! *grins*

Just ask yourself if you would be gutted if a new MBP comes out next month. It is as simple as that. If you think that you already got an awesome machine and can't be bother if there is a new one coming. Go ahead, by all means.

The waiting game never ends....

I agree with you....the waiting game never ends. Anyway as long as i'll last me for the next 3-4 years or better 5 years then I am content.
