Hi,

I am thinking of getting a new notebook and is seriously considering the powerbook.

My question is that whether the asking price of >rm9k worth it for a notebook. Heard that it can run dual OS which is why I am seriously considering it. How stable is it coz running Leopard and Vista together is really cool and will help me a lot. Can it run all the windows program smoothly as in a PC?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

@joey70i,
The >RM9k MacBook Pro is quite high end. Do u need such high end specs?

If ur looking to run your programs on a Windows platform, Y bother with OSX? U should ask urself what u really need.

btw, you still need windows. rolleyes.gif at least for some of the applications.

Hmm, why you need a mid-range mbp? go for the low end, Rm7499 version. mid-range version is just got higher vram (graphic card ram) and bigger hdd space wink.gif

It should run all the programs as long as you boot to Vista.

Vista runs faster on Mac, no?

If you have the cash, nothing wrong with the higher end MBP. But it would come to a waste if you don't need the extra power...

well, you just ask yourself this simple question.
"Do you play games (those high end games brows.gif )? or Do you need those extra vram?"

If you don't, then just choose the lower end version. Save few thousand and use few hundred to max up the ram wink.gif

few hundred? I'd say less than 300 to max out the ram, unless you are going for Apple rams... lol
