yes, you can buy 1 share, but that won't justify the commission you paid.

Say C buy at 4.75+ comm 3.95 = $8.70

Properly, you should get at least 100 share (100x4.75 = 475 or RM1,700) or get 500 shares at one shot

Great, not buying C for 1 share but maybe GOOG. but my new account come with 100 free trades, so can take advantage of that, by buying minimum no of shares first. Furthermore my initial fund is very little only.

One more thing, if the company give dividend, how did you get the money? check or credited to brokerage account?

QUOTE
(Reuters.com) -- Shares in American International Group (AIG.N) soared 30 percent on Thursday after new Chief Executive Officer Robert Benmosche told Reuters he did not favor a fire sale of the bailed-out insurer's assets and that in a year people will say AIG is performing well.

"I think we will be clear as to what the vision is, what the reality of that vision is. We'll have a better sense of what our strategic companies will be worth, and what the marketplace will be worth, and people will say, wow, AIG is performing well," he said in an exclusive interview with Reuters.

He said he does not favor a quick sale of company assets at any price. "Just selling this company and getting whatever you can get for it and hope that it covers whatever debts you have, it's not for me. I don't think that's the way to go," he said.

AIG's shares rose more than 30 percent to $49.20 by midday in New York.

Last September, AIG was on the verge of collapse from massive losses on derivatives linked to the subprime mortgage crisis until the U.S. government stepped in. The new CEO is charged with leading AIG in repaying more than $80 billion in U.S. bailout loans while keeping the insurance company stable.

Let's face it. US govt doesn't want the market to fail.

PPT and Goldman Sachs computers at work today.

Heck, let's all buy some AIG, and walk away.
Come back in 6 months, we all be rich. biggrin.gif

people keep screaming that the worst is not over, some quarters says its already the bottom, some says its recovering.
But deep down, everyone knows that the recovery is not yet happening. But
DOW on BULL mode, stock flying. Seems all the bears are killed for "SURE".

click BUY AIG.

After hours :
C + 10c
AIG + 0.56c
BAC +0.06
CIT + 0.09c
FRE +0.02c
FNM -0.01c
GE +0.04c (was -12c then close +0.08)
DELL +0.48 (Profit down, but share soar??)

Suggest that its RALLY still.

MBTrading so good to have this feature. If I open account without deposit any money, are they allowed that?
