Haha. I'd rather take my chances at Uncle Lim's roulette table rather than trading forex. smile.gif

Caterpillar, Boeing, 3M, Stanley Works and Freeport-McMoran Copper & Gold.
We'll probably go either way from here onwards.

Yes I think forex brokers are not even regulated.
We had even tried to put the quote screens of the same currencies pairs from 2 different brokers side by side.
Guess what they are not the same......

If you are day trading on Forex the chance that you will lose money are very high.
But for a longer term trading I think it should be ok as at  some point the rate had to be synchronize.

Not all FX brokers are regulated, but there are some of them are.

If you like to hedge, you also need to hedge even you are using local broker for all shares that you have. You might think you are in profit but due to depreciating of USD you can loose as the exchange is done straight away.

Ya lo, i invest in NYSE to lose money. Did u know u have to have hefty collateral to open a forex account with your local bank?

Not bad loh. I thought entry price was 18-20$

Now is 16.89 Up 0.04 (0.24%) . Only drop 16cts. Counter like LVS can swing 90cts a day. What to worry? Was 16.30 and recovered all the way up.

Percentage wise, just a little. My CITI is worst still. Entry price 4.76. Now? 4.60..

imo, if u dun mind the volatility, u can keep it for the long term till $50, since now its at 50day ma support whistling.gif
well, from the charts, it seems like in accumulation phase within the range of $12-24 flex.gif

furthermore, the sister stock in the group has broken out to new highs eg. wms drool.gif

imo, options is very rewarding & risky at the same time, as u can lose everything or maybe gain roket style
during earning season, stock move so fast that cut loss would be larger than expected rclxub.gif
suggest buy call or put options more than 3 months expiry time frame
well, sometimes, stock rise before earnings date, then maybe can sell at that time
anyway, eg. assuming gamble & expect lvs to hit around $50 after 3 months

buy 100 share of lvs cost us 16.85*100=1685 (comparing cost & benefit analysis of stock or option style)

or buy 1 call option contract LJJCP.X at $3.60 is 100 unit * $3.60 = 360

or if u feel like shorting, buy 1 put option contract LJJOP.X which cost 300

now, we sit & wait to see how it works in a few weeks time or after they report their earnings blink.gif

well, if we want exit anytime during this 3 months, we can just close the options position, wherever our target price is, as not a good idea to let options expire worthless sweat.gif

Hi, would like to ask, for us to open these accounts, do we need to have a US bank account? Is the processing of the transactions as simple as the local one( besides needing to TT the fund)?

Plan to open the sogo trading after reading mostly positive feedbacks from this forum. So, besides the $3 transaction fee, is there any other charges such as contract stamp and clearing fees?

Thanks smile.gif

In my case, SOGO also sucks, so slow on opening account. But the offer on the table is so attractive, ie FREE trade first month. Good bet.

I will be faithful with Just2trade and MB Trading.

Pre-Market data are giving hope that DOW will open GREEN and close above 10,000 and on the way to 10,500

Added on October 19, 2009, 9:09 pmSEE - what to worry, LVS bounced back from 16.50 to 17.10.
This is not KLSE< once down, you need to wait for many years to recover.

Green opening? 10,015?

Funny CIT skyrocketing, FNM/FRE down the hill..

DMC, u got at low price. Mine stuck at 477, thought can break $5 when good news released. I take that the price already factored in. Wait till it bounced back, then unload

C is predictable now.. still in trading range between $4 and $5.
Just buy below $4.50 and sell close to $5 (top).

Just don't be greedy..when close to 15-20cents.. at near $5, start unloading.

Below $4.50 and above $4, safe to accumulate.

That's how I'm playing it now. nod.gif

Good luck to all.
