Anyone tried running the Accelero S1 cooler on the 8800GT?Is it a good cooler? Might look into a replacement cooler as the current stock cooler is running real hot..LOL..

The fan is meant to run at those speed so it should be aite.

How about running them at 100% for 24/7? I just faced some overheating issue just now. Cant figure out the fact that it comes from the GC or CPU or combination of both. Crazy CPU running at 48c at idle which is crazy (Socket 939 Opteron 165) while GC is running at almost 65c on idle. Tried running the fan at 100% just now and idle temperature drop to around 56c. Somehow, i felt that the CPU heat is a bigger factor here...

when stock cooler had been removed , i reliaze ram chip is not

this seems like a "chop off" version of zalman cooler

From the look of it, its somehow resembles a cut down version of the Zalman VF1000. Heard some rumours about this redesigned Zalman fan earlier with some people saying the older VF700 does not really help in cooling down the Gigabyte 8800GT Turbo edition. Thats why they changed it to this new cooler though..

Hope someone could clarify..


Anyway, ECS is coming out with their 8800GT bundled together with the Accelero S1 + Turbo modules.
