May i know anyone who works in cimb can explain the difference of benefits between cimb bank and investment bank? What are the benefits in terms of salary increment(without promotion) and also bonus? Are the bonus fixed(for level AM) or based on performance?

Many thanks!

If you have a Master and 2 years working experience, you should be consider as a Assistant Manager or Junior to Middle level management. But its up to CIMB discretion. I understand their personal financial consultant pays about 2.5k to a fresh graduate, not too sure how much they would pay for your level. They might even allocate you to manage a team of PFC.

he did not say what kind of work experience he got in UK. The 2 years experience maybe totally not related with PFC in malaysia. When he want to ask a question, he has to ask it in a clearer way. If the experience cannot be relate to PFC in any way, i doubt that he can get Assistant Manager position or to lead a team.

A person can say that he got 10 years experience but the experience is not related to the job and if he does not has any related knowledge in the field. Then the situation will be different. It all depends on the situation.

CIMB offered me the post, hire purchase marketing executive, but not sure about the pressure and sales target.

I heard that second hand car dealer will scold you and shoo you. Anyone have any idea about this?

Hi guys, i went CIMB HQ interview recently.

The interviewer told me tat CIMB consumer banking payout 12mths bonus last yr (thou i presume only key performers got it), can any cimb-ian confirm this? this is crucial to my decision making coz i'm banking on this payout to offset my paycut at cimb...explained below..

The hr told me tat my current pay is beyond their range for AM...hence asked me for 13% paycut n hope for huge bonuses at year end....not sure to believe or not?

Lastly, does cimb values its performing employees? Coz my plan is to work very hard & get promoted in 2 yrs time...is this far from realistic in cimb or workable?

I know maybank gives free parking to its staff inside Menara Maybank, does Cimb do the same?

Advise from cimb-ians is very much appreciated...thanks!

If you reject customer loan, they sure scold you - both new and used car dealer blush.gif

Because car salesman income is commission based.

To be success in banking line, u must be able to achieve your KPI's and must be able to have "angkatologi" as well. Unless you are very excellent in your sales, then you'll be recognised.

It depends on who u asked. If u asked a high achiever, he/she can tell u his/her success story, if u asked a non-performer, he/she will tell u all sort of bad things about the organisation.
It still depends on how u work around it. Harder u work, better bonuses you'll get. smile.gif
