well, my other car with aftermarket alarm fitted has this function. but it will automatically re-arm as long as all doors are closed.. no matter if there was a door opened and closed after it was disarmed.

there are decent bodykits around for persona, which i would say quite good.
dont waste your persona with stupid racing boy kits, because they will look horrible. plus persona is not that small boy toy anymore.
just now at juru got one good looking persona with very little kit on it, and nice 17 inchers like that of audi TTs. look very menacing and as a mark of respect, i gave him high 5. hehehehehe
and please, avoid big gt wings. it looks horrible

QUOTE(Jeffery @ May 5 2008, 10:28 AM) howcome so high? new car oso around 8.0L/100km only wor... dun scare me ler... it's even higher than my 12 yrs old wira! The computerized FC meter usually hovers between 8.4 -8.8 / 100 km. i always reset it after i refuel. however i suspected that it wasn't accurate so i hand calculated and found out that the FC is around 12 litres /100km (uncertainty around +- 10%). the car has only done 400 km so far and apparently as the engine puts on the miles the FC will improve? i got this info from this very thread quite some time ago. keeping my fingers crossed. Are you interested in getting a persona too?

I mean the exact number of it.

I mean the exact number of it. pump full tank, trip the meter, drive around until maybe quarter tank left. pump again and observe how many litres went in and observe the distance on the trip meter. (litres that went in/distance travelled in km) * 100. my technique might be wrong but the mathematics is sure correct. your sis car is manual or auto? what line? dun scare me wei, having doubts about car now haha lol.

I know how to calculate the FC but 12L is really insane. No offense, but can i know the exact number of ur calculation? Coz i suspect something wrong between the calculate, else it's ur car got problem adi. Coz persona has 50L tank, but the petrol meter shows petrol light even the tank has 15L petrol left. However, ur technique is correct but it's really something wrong over there. My sis one is baseline auto. Manual FC calculation is RM68 of petrol for 410KM, which is about 8.6L/100KM. Seriously, is ur car FC is 12L/100. U can go for other car adi, it's way way way way way way way too high FC adi.

I see. is your sis model IAFM? mine is H-line IAFM. hopefully it will improve after 1000 km service. any other auto IAFM owners care to share their FC count?

But i really hope to c ur FC soon. Coz I juz manage to convince and prove them the FC is low but when I saw ur post, I stunned. Coz it's way higher FC than my 12 yrs old 1.3 auto wira wif only 3 gears.

hi guys.. been awhile since i posted here... hows yr personas???...
mine is doing fine.. its about close to 13k KM now.. got a few issues..
1. my average FC meter. still shows 11.2l/km.. i dont know why.. even when i reset it.. it will go up to like 14.. and very.. and i mean VERRRY slowly drop to 11 around there..... is there something wrong?... even though the meter shows 11.2 but i notice the car's FC is much better la... not like last time (before the 10k service)
2. my air cond blower doesnt seem to be that strong anymore.. and the car feels so hot and takes a long time to cool down... even when the air cond blower speed is set to maximum it still feels like the air flow is not so strong.. but when u put yr hand at the outlet.. the air thats coming out is cold.. but the blower is not strong.... could the problem relate to the blower fan?.. as i have heard the fan making some weird sounds before...

Hi bluswhitehat...I think I have the answer to your air-con problem. I personally drive a 1.6 Gen2 manual without IAFM and I suffered the same problem after about one year plus of owning the car. I went to the air-con repairer and the shop owner just swapped a "internal" filter located underneath the front passenger area (it should be somewhere beneath the glovebox if for persona). The cost was around RM60 with installation. According to him, all new proton cars have this filter. Once the filter is changed, the air flow is very good and the air gets cooler real quick. I am driving my Gen2 for almost three years already and it is almost time to change the filter again as I can feel the aircon is getting slower already. FYI, I changed the filter on my second year of usage as well. So I make it a custom to change it every year now and I am really grateful for that filter (some plus points for Proton cars) as when the filter is removed you can really see the dirt that it managed to filter which would otherwise be circulated over and over and we would be breathing such polluted air. Cheers
