If u want, then get it... I dont think any PS3 owner has regretted, so i dont think u would... u can wait for Sony Malaysia, but how long? I gave them 1 year limit, and that 1 year was up, so i bought it myself... Some sellers send to Singapore under the Singapore warranty... Personally no complaints from me... i got a system, and games are available almost everywhere...

the ps3 supports USB HID-compliant devices (devices that don't need driver install on pc)

the problem might occur with some PC gamepads is that some of the buttons are mapped "wrongly" and also missing the HOME/XMB button.

too bad the 360 controller is NOT USB HID-compliant device, ifnot we can actually use it on PS3! laugh.gif

I was at Sony Style today at Berjaya Times Square and heard the most hilarious excuse for not bringing in the PS3. I asked the store assistant when they were going to officially bring it in and he said most likely never. Because in the future ALL PS3 games will be downloaded and our broadband here is too slow so Sony doesn't want to bring it in. shakehead.gif rclxub.gif

Anyone here know of people working in Sony? I run a market research consultancy and I'll gladly do a study for them to show how strong the demand for the console is. Just direct me to the person in charge.

that is the most funniest reason. i was at klcc sonystyle two weeks ago and they have white ps3 on display. was interested to get when i saw then the guy told me not launch yet but they plan sometime this year or year end and target ard 2k. but i doubt that price. could b the same method as what they did on psp and ps2, trying to match with the modded or the grey importers. anyway, i am pretty sure they know very well how much they would love to sell ps3 and the demand just so huge. i wouldnt mind get another ps3 for local warranty sake. on top of that, they're pushing very much on the bluray, so perhaps they want to market bluray player then on ps3 later. another strategy. or else everyone will grab ps3 knowing it capabilities wink.gif and worth every buck.

umm how do I put this as straight as I can? Well I'm just going to say this:

WRONG! PSN downloads run fine, game demos download adequately fast. I can play online multiplayer.Warranty is via singapore and you just need to check "I got it as a gift" during registration process.

The bullcrap that the retailers at the official store put out from what I hear from this forum is because of salesperson who would rather make up something to answer to the customers rather than just saying "I don't know" to your question.

About worrying ps3 failures, you don't have to worry as much compared to the other high graphics console because of its around 1% failure rate compared to 15% failure rate of the new falcon sets of the other console.

"Should you buy a ps3?" Well... will you enjoy the games that the console will exclusively have? That is the real question. I'm not gonna promote the ps3 to you, you just have to see if u like the games. If you prefer halo 3 more then even with the high failure rate of the other console will not stop you from buying a 360 (if you have the money la). biggrin.gif

Can't download the new game and also Echochrome.....I moved into my new place in Subang Bestari, and no internet yet...have to wait till next week (that is if TM is efficient enough)...

p/s: First yo said you heard this news, then you said you've read through the forums...then you said 'they said' of which I don't know who they are...Then it's the store seller....If all this is true...then you need to Mandi Bunga...so you can at least get/read maybe one 'true stories' from your sources..rather than all not so true ones. i never read/heard anywhere PS3 people complain of their purchase (except for a transvatite pirate)
about their PS3 purchase. The good games are rolling in (Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm, Uncharted, Folksoul,
Ratchet and Clank..coming soon MGS4, FF13, God Of War 3, HOME), the hardware is solid (very low failure rate, unlike one
purchase, the fear is always your shadow when you boot your machine)and online play is FREE. FREE. FREE.
