that is the most funniest reason. i was at klcc sonystyle two weeks ago and they have white ps3 on display. was interested to get when i saw then the guy told me not launch yet but they plan sometime this year or year end and target ard 2k. but i doubt that price. could b the same method as what they did on psp and ps2, trying to match with the modded or the grey importers. anyway, i am pretty sure they know very well how much they would love to sell ps3 and the demand just so huge. i wouldnt mind get another ps3 for local warranty sake. on top of that, they're pushing very much on the bluray, so perhaps they want to market bluray player then on ps3 later. another strategy. or else everyone will grab ps3 knowing it capabilities
