Firstly, I think we are kinda getting OT ATM.

I hope that TS appreciate our friendly banter rather than any 1 liner garbage post with nothing constructive.

1. With all the release of the games above like NMH, Godfather, Scarface it shows that third parties do have the initiative to produce games other that the usual party mini games associated with Wii. Now the onus is on the Wii owners to purchase it and show the developers that such games are in demand. Sadly this is slow at the moment and hopefully it will pick up. I too feel mad when SMG did not take off in Japan in terms of sales.

2. As for the sales chart, please bear in mind that currently there are 45 mill ps2 owners in USA compared to 7 mill Wii owners. Taking those figure into account, the sales of Godfather and Scarface for Wii is barely below half of the sales for PS2. Still not good but something to look at.

3. In terms of the quote from Reggie and Iwata, no arguement from me. However, they also have repeteadly stress that hardcore crowd wont be left out. Again too lazy to find the quote as most are quotes from the E3 video.

4. Finally, could Nintendo please upgrade their online infrastructure. I need to be able to tell my squad members to flank me immediately rather that dying on the spot while typing the command vmad.gif

friendly banter aside, i agree the Wii's online is weak..but i hope it will improve...but nintendo is not doing anything to improve their online... sad.gif

you are hardcore when:-

1- spent countless hours trying to get the last star that seems out of reach
2- grind thousands and thousands of minions just to find that special item
3- killing fellow gamers just to get that 10,000 kill achievement

you are dead hardcore when:-

1- neglect your family just to finish up the game
2- skip your job to pawn players from the other continent
3- stay awake for 3 nights just to play some mmog

etc etc. you get the drift. it doesnt matter what console, its the player that defines hardcore. with that said, i vote for the 360 for countless online fun!!

hehe really sorry if i make the wii fan boy piss of tongue.gif my statement that "wii suck" is base on my opinion only.Its a free country what?iam the user here and iam free to say anything and comment anything so that in future the game company will produce better games for us.

p/s: Wii is a good platform for kids,uncle,father,grandfather and grandmother to become a hardcore gamers in future, i'm sure we all start with mario too whistling.gif

Yup, totally agree. Purchasing a specific console doesn't make someone a hardcore player.

yes. i have to agree with that too. How do you rate a hardcore player? rule of thumb, he/she is dead stuck infront of the screen daily for numerous hours playing and beating the game or the opponent. All consoles can be played by hardcore gamers. People often confusion or perceived that fps ) person shooter games are consider hardcore gaming. What about games like simulation (Grand turismo, Final fantasy, etc , just to name a few). Everyone has his/her own taste. so hardcore player doesn't really restrict formally on game consoles. When we play a specific game, criteria which demand certain skill is required. For example, a fps requires good reaction and fast thinking. games like final fantasy requires strategy thinking, games on Wii requires tedious muscle movement or high muscle sensitivity. All these do contribute to the enjoyment of gaming. Approach wise is different. In addition, some games too require co-op and team work is on of the key for winning.

now back to the TS question, my choice will be the ps3. due to xbox's 3rod and i'm a bit aged so gradual body movement is not really my liking. A piece of advice just like what the previous forumer have mentioned. Ask yourself, what do you really wanna play. Cause in the end of the day, its not about the consoles, its more about the game. what you're really playing is the game, the console is just the medium for you to operate in the game. cheers.

Haih...aren't u guys getting tired of this 'who is hardcore n who is not?'.

I play games just to relax after a hard day's work and escape reality...sure during weekends I like to spend hours in front of the tv and when I'm out to conferences, I play with the handheld during commuting.

If u hv the money, buy all biggrin.gif

Nagging about who is hardcore or who is not is just like an old woman comparing his son to another's...it's plain ugly and not pretty to see n hear. Especially the nagging biggrin.gif

At the end of the day we're all gamers...PEACE happy.gif

TS, look first what game u want...there's gamespot, there's ign, there's famitsu, there's even magazine...for each console, search for their top editor's choice. If one console hv more games that u like compared to the other...then that is ur choice...it's that simple. smile.gif
