transport will be the only problem. if u have transport, it will be great to stay outside.

pros:
1. variety of food (malay, chinese, indians)
2. freedom (will be a con if u misuse it)
3. furniture, can always get used ones. brand new ones are not costly
4. the rental is cheap
5. if u have streamyx, u wouldnt face "slow internet problem" anymore

very true. you also won't be subjected to the 'midnight rule'.

the only con is downloading stuff. For the seniors, I'm sure you guys know the webservers in UNITEN serving all kinds of stuff (although it seems to be decreasing as of lately). Movies, mp3, series, anime, etc without having to go through all the trouble of torrenting yourself.

I'm staying outside next sem, from sabah also kena halau out........ ya once transportation solved, staying outside is a real joy~~~~!

Can I apply around May 16th? I do not plan to apply so early because I scared if I get accepted, I have to reply them by May 6th which is too early for me. Perhaps if I apply after May 6th (which is the date where most ppl need to pay the RM500?) they will ask us to reply like June 2nd or later? If this is what going to happen, then it`s better for me because I can wait until the IPTA results out and decide by that time?
BTW, when do we need to report ourselves at the campus?

im planning for enter uniten this coming intake but i'm off scared i heard from my fren studying ther...aneway i have alredy applied for mechanical course but din get ta offer letter yet..y so long??

last year i dint pay the bmk for the july intake..and my upu result came out on the day uniten starts it intake...i ended up in uniten but on its 2nd intake :-(

bangi, kajang and sg chua got some houses and apartments with quite reasonable rent. i'm renting an apartment with my friends, calculated everything and it's still cheaper than cendi
if you want near then probably you should go find at bangi or sg chua.
i also dont really wanna care much about the appeal letter already. they said will inform on the first day of next sem, by that time if got no room die lo

yeah, as sujend said, better give them a call. in some cases they might have already sent the offer letter, but maybe got lost in post or still stuck at post office.

i'm not so sure also, what i heard from my friend is range around 500 to 800 for apartment, 400 or 500 to 900 for house, depends single or double storey. maybe skinnydude and others will know better

double storey house at sungai chua area will cost bout rm550 a month..

Sungai Chua cheap cheap only...most of my friends' rent are about 500-600 for double story terrace house...mine's 550...

Don't go to Serdang/Minlon side...it's kinda pricey...

rm650 for corner lot double storey house. i am paying rm125 for my room...

after sending the surat jawapan tawaran kemasukan and paying the bmk, will i receive another documents from uniten?

yes, u will receive a bunch of brochure and some documents, that is medical checkup document.
