kepada yang fail sahaja, yang ambil exam pada 31 march 2009 jam 230pm to 530pm di library level 6, i believe some of then might surrendered their hp to the invigilators and fill the misconduct form just before the exam starts, kindly ask your friend to contact me as soon as possible, there is a really big problem with the invigilators and now i`m planning to make an appeal to deputy vice chacellor acedemic because of that case,

i believe so of the students from the respective subject had failed in their exam just because of the hp and filling the misconduct form just before the exam starts, the invigilators cannot force us to fill the misconduct form before the exam starts, they only can when we were cought during the examination period so they had violated the rules (this is what i had obtained from the deputy dean hep engineering) and also they have to bring this case to university court for trial and still we also have to attend the trial

ahhh that issue. actually, I think all subject is affected. A few of my friend is affected by it and went to see someone last Monday. Dunno about the result though. The only reason if any subject is not affected is that they didn't take your name in the beginning of the exam. Some lect didn't. They just take your phone, wrap it up and thats it.

not really...when my friend was in foundation he was caught once bcoz of hp...and guess what..he fail the sucject...smthng abt accounting subject if not mistaken....but when he meet his lecturer...she say dat he actually get an A-..lol....they failed him only bcoz of the stupid pn thing...

You should be able to sit for a make up exam (earlier or before not too sure) if you have a valid reason; I'd say taking part in a national or state sport event is pretty valid. However, I think it depends on your lecturer as well. Last time ymy friend missed one of the final papers (well he reached too late and they didn't let him in the exam hall); he went and see the lecturer told her he missed the exam because he was involved in an accident; of course she asked for proof like police report or something like that. In the end, he got to sit for the make up exam.

owh...i need the final xm timetable fast but this sem dunno y they didnt give out yet.aihh

i've been offered with foundation in IT. in the e-mail it says that i'll receive an offer letter soon which i'm yet to receive but when i check my application through the website it says that i need to print the acceptance offer and pay the BMK. so i'm quite confused here. should i wait for the offer letter to arrive first or do what the site told me to?

That was because he was caught. His fault. Rule says can't bring em in. But this new case, they're not caught. On the beginning of the exam, the invigilator will ask if anyone happens to bring their phone, please surrender it to the front so they won't be caught with it and be failed. But starting a couple semester back I think, they start collected names in a proper manner. There's a form and everything (although not all invigilator does it). Usually they just record it and nothing more. This time, they use those names and fail them.

From experience, bringing those phones and surrendering it will not get you failed. But seems like the registrar is being greedy and just failed those students. If they fail, means more money to them. Sad case really the registrar and so called SENATE.

This semester? You're foundation is it? Well just keep your your eye on your email and check here once they're announced its out.

One other thing I like to mention. This only concerns the students which have applied for a BS (Belum Siap) status for their FYP2 (IT only I guess?). It seems like the SENATE has forced the BS students (including me) to present starting 1st of June whereby the original schedule is on November. A lot of my friends are enraged, saying they just can't finish it in time. Another selfish move by the SENATE without considering the consequences on its students.

Does anyone know that once, we have to PAY for internet access? RM1 for 1 day. Usually we just pay for at least a month of access. For the richer folks, they'll just pay for the whole sem. It usually is about RM110+ for the whole semester. As the student protest, they removed it but instead, include in our apartment fee. RM10 per month. Whatever it is, they just have to suck a bit of money from students. Small if counting 1 student, but all the students. Quite a lot eh?

the internet gets worst though upgraded to 24hrs.... watever they still increase the apartment fees....damn angry man...feel like better stay at home and travel.....but wat to do..my hometown is at kedah...so have to stay in campus:(

It was better when they first upgraded the connection but every single year they stuck more and more students in means more people will be using that same connection. About 32Mbps I think? Can't really remember. But I did saw a report once last semester from ITMS. It clearly showed bandwidth is pretty much at maximum all the time yet they have so many excuses. Yeah it really is not cheap to upgrade, but whats the point sucking so much of student's money when not giving the students the best service right?

This is one of the few problems in UNITEN. The higher-ups and administration. It truly caters for creating money. The lecturers are great, facilities is enough (except for the idiot internet), but the administration and their hunger for money is truly troublesome.

3.timing[something if stay inside bangun lambat still can rush 2 class...if outside how much u rush still double late]

was (well technically still) a UNITEN bangi student. been spending years there and had my ups and downs. currently i'm finishing my final project 2 as i will be submitting my thesis tomorrow which will end my last duty as a UNITEN student. what i can say is that i really miss my days being a student. To freshies, good luck with your studies and do enjoy yourself at UNITEN. I can guarantee that u'll be proud to be able to study there.
