This canot that canot. Nothing much interesting and happening.
Apply this reject apply that reject. Ask we do this, must do, even we get nothing from doing that. Do proposal, kena reject, ask money from HEP kena reject kena cut cost. Semua duit tak mau bagi, macam mana mau happening. Tarak duit , apa pun tak boleh buat.
exactly my sentiment. its really hard to do an event without having something rejected or reduced by the HEP. even the Karnival Mahasiswa event had a hard time and was cancelled.

so..there is no event at all there??
There is a few, but thats the thing. A few.

I think using the labs for gaming would not just be because it's not study related but also due to the fact that they have to use original software.
Just my 2 cents

Yes you're right. But they don't even let something like a LAN Party held.
But then again, last sem they actually did held a LAN Party at CoIT labs though it kinda sucks. Same as last 2 sem which was in ITMS.

That is ridiculous. I live with roomies who are not doing the same course as I am and I have to say that it is a very good thing.
So much to learn from each other, and yet people would rather stick their own group and be confined from everything different?
This is sadly true in most cases, which really only limits our potentials.
Do not blame the management.
It is the students. Most only stick to their own groups and mix only when they have to.
How can we expect management to do anything when we ourselves dont cooperate?
Its always easy to point fingers at management, student council and authority; but most of us need to look in the mirror before speaking out loud.
It is not ridiculous but you are correct as well. Having roomies of the same course makes it easier to study, especially if they are seniors. But having different course (like me, I'm the only IT in my house), does makes it interesting. A lot of things learn from them, and a lot of things taught to them.
The thing is, its not what course they are. Its how they are as people. If you get a messy, loud, crazy, then there will be some problem. Thank god for me last semester my roomies are clean ones.
For the question if there was a LAN party previously, yes there is. 3 times during my years. First was held by the guys from Cendi's AJK. You only have to play from your room. Not much of a LAN Party but it was a start. And it was the best tournament held.
2nd I'm not sure who held it, but it was at ITMS. Not that many people join so it was less fun.
3rd practically sucks. If IIRC, the organizers are basically noobs on games. Don't even know the rules. Can't bring your own mouse or headset. And can't shout either which kinda sucks since you don't have a mic to begin with. A lot of bashing to the organizers. Oh yeah, CLICQ was the one who organized it.
