hey guys, any of you tried overclocking in crossfire mode using other tools beside catalyst?
Here's the problem im facing, both of my HD3870 has been pencil modded to 1.45v and both has been tested and is confirmed to be stable @ 950/1300. Then theres a problem, on ati CCC overdrive, max clock is only 880. So... i used rivatuner instead, and yes it works... but only on the main card, when overclocking the second card, it always reverts back to its stock speed. Is there any ways to run both of the card at the same speed? does anyone knows any link to mod the bios? im thinking to set 950/1300 as bios stock speed so that both card will run and stay that speed without having to install too many apps. |

Since you are brave enough to vmod, I don't see why you are still thinking (read=hesitating) of moding your BIOS Here's the problem im facing, both of my HD3870 has been pencil modded to 1.45v and both has been tested and is confirmed to be stable @ 950/1300. QUOTE(coolice @ Jan 19 2008, 02:37 PM) @AoiNatsume i see, thx for your advise, i think ill flash it to the 830/1200 bios. Btw, does that bios limits overclocking to 862 or is it fixed already?get someone who has account in quantum force website, there is a software from foxconn allow u to set ur own speed,i cant help now as my home internet down for the moment another alternative is get 830/1200 bios from first post, after u flash both card,it will enable to set 1500 core speed in CCC good luck QUOTE(clayclws @ Jan 19 2008, 03:53 PM) Since you are brave enough to vmod, I don't see why you are still thinking (read=hesitating) of moding your BIOS Well... its a different story, vmodding is actually easier than bios modding. Bios modding requires some coding skills/knowledge whereelse vmodding, all you need is a multimeter and a pencil.QUOTE(-pWs- @ Jan 19 2008, 04:04 PM) yup xfire already, thanks bro QUOTE(MangKoK^ayon @ Jan 19 2008, 08:39 PM) mana ada rich la anyways bro, hows ur mobo doing? |
