super expensive, 500mm and L lens haha, the 600mm is like 40k or something around there so 20-30k for the 500mm

@sissonne~last I saw the 400D with 17-85 lens is RM4199, could be lower now. comparison wise the 17-85 is a better lens and worth the extra money I need to pay for the kit. at least the 17-85 should last you longer than the 18-55

no as I was manning the figure booth hehe. the walkway for some of the booth are small, and since the place was quite pack and with cosplayers posing around for photographer it become quite hard to move around.

yeah if you need to take photo fast, Tv or Av would be better suited.

for like Starbuck depends what you want to shoot loh, since it's dim light you would want the aperture wide open and maybe bump up ISO a bit. Having a flash to bounce is good too

sigma makes flash too, it's cheaper but not sure of the quality. for canon speedlite cheapest is the 430ex about 1k, the 580EXII is about 1.6k, cost as much as the 60mm macros lens

did some shots of KLCC, Times Square, Sg Wang and Pavillion Christmas deco, really need more practice for this kind of shots haha, some came out ok, some are just bleh, will post after I process them

here's a sneak peak , took 180+ photos, almost fill up my card coz I was shooting in raw. still need more practice on outdoor shoot


i use lightroom for initial processing, export to jpeg and use photoshop for watermark and final editing

I just make a template at 1600 x 1200 with my watermark and a 50% transparent box that I use as a guide for resizing. drag the layers from the template on to my photo, resize the photo accordingly and crop, this allow me to keep the exif data when saving them. Of course there are easier way for watermarking, this is just the way I do it
Lightroom is not that hard, the interface is easy to use, adjustment for white balance, exposure, etc are all cleary label, just play around with it a bit and you'll find it's actually quite easy

raw will be better of course coz jpeg already process in camera, so what you can do is limited. i think there is a mac version since it's from Adobe.
