QUOTE(dazzle @ Jan 18 2008, 09:22 PM) This lens hard to find liao. Like try to catch a needle in the sea. actually quite worth it if u can find a good working one, lens last a long time if well taken care off. I myself got the 1st generation 100mm f/2.8 macro lens recently, super sharp lens and good quality built. The 50mm f/1.2 is too expensive though. The 1st manufacturing year is 1989. So long time. If u can find it. also not worth to buy. Better buy 50mm f1.2 I plan to buy end of the year. Waiting bonus Added on January 18, 2008, 9:24 pm For sure i will dry up all him knowledge. He ask me to buy the Nissin speedlite. cause not need to waste money to buy the original canon speedlite. This speedlite is nearly same as 430EX(RM1050) My NissinDi622 just RM 525. Damn cheap |

QUOTE(-vip3rleon9- @ Jan 18 2008, 09:57 PM) yeah the 50mm f/1.2 L is around that priceQUOTE(hornetEJ @ Jan 18 2008, 09:59 PM) The USD 120 lens is which one? 50mm F1.4? USD120 i think is for the 1st gen 50mm f/1.8The Fotokem at Sunway Pyramid also quoted me RM380. I guess RM380 is their list price. The salesman at another Fotokem that I talked to offered me RM300 though. the 50mm f/1.8 if above RM300 expensive already, coz the lens alone got shop selling at 280-290, the 52mm UV filter is just 20+ only coz I got one for my 100mm QUOTE(dazzle @ Jan 18 2008, 10:00 PM) No uv filter. Is just the Lens. just one version i am afraid, 50mm f/1.2 L USM, the previous version is 50mm f/1.0Depend lah, 50mm f1.2L got 2 version 1 with USM and 1 wtihout USM. I think so QUOTE(HKNP @ Jan 18 2008, 10:00 PM) hahah I ask f1.4 .. some 1 poisoning for f1.2 pulak... f/1.4 is good enough already, unless you got a lot of cash to burn hahahhahaha I got my hand on f1.4 tomorrow... but at night so cannot use during the bird shooting... even though I am not attending hahaha sorry guys.. tomorrow afternoon going to YL to get myself a decent camera bag 1st.. |

UV filters is more to protect your front element rather than make your photos looks better, so of course it still works wonder. Just becareful not to accidentally poke anything on your front element though, UV filters are cheap, but the lens are not.
Other filters like CPL, ND Grad, etc are a different story. |
