Range from 1.1k to 3.6k (varies on location and companies)

Butterworth would be from 1.6k to 2k (if in the industrial area lah)

4 yrs ago, my 1st job only rm1300, rm300 allowance ( include petrol, toll, parking). I work as on-field techncal support, use own car, work like a dog. so rm1750 for me is resonable.
after 3 month, work at another company, rm1400 + rm400 alowance but toll and parking can claim.
now working as system engineer in MNC rm2900, i have MCP. the salary is too low?
why i asking like this, coz i saw all your salary higher than me...so shame..

guys I would like to ask... I'm earning RM2.3k currently (my 1st job) and I'm searching for a better job. A company replied my job application and offered me RM2.7k. I'm working in ERP field, and personally I think RM2.7k is on the low side. I actually demanded for RM3.2k as I know ERP knowledge is on high demand now. But then the HR of the new company told me they don't care, they will just add 20% to your current salary. In simple words, if you started low, then you'll get low too. Geez...

Is this a norm? Frankly speaking I personally think that my experience and my exposure in ERP implementation justifies a higher pay than RM2.7k. Some of my friends were earning RM2.6-2.8k as their first job. sad.gif

Btw wat erp exp u got? in SAP? or JD edwards? or others? rolleyes.gif

in my opinion, 1.8k for a fresh grad for an engineer position is pathetic.
that was 5 years ago!!

some MNC employers really recognize the fresh grad by paying min 2.3k-2.8k for basic starting salary.

even worse i heard some get 1.5k for engineer position and they cannot claim OT (as they are executive grade)

however, for fresh grad, better take some time to get experience as much as u can first,
and then they can jump to another company & pay will increase.

number of years of experiences alone is not sufficient to justify the pay
some people are slow and some are fast..
1 year exp of fast, diligent learner can beat the slow ones with 3 years
