I remember someone mentioned he worked at a bank, maybe he can help? I did see AC numbers on page 1 but am afraid your average bank teller's usual reaction here would simply see such a transaction as sending a man on the moon.
Hi Penzman,
Can u PM me where you maintained your account there in Thailand?
I'll check for you on how you should do a Foreign Telegraphic Transfer to the donation account first thing tomorrow morning
It's late huh? I couldn't sleep , was lying in bed and thinking about the over-heating tire problem I can't seem to solve.
Seems when we began on Silverstone, tires were ok, did many laps, was always one of the fastest, and one day, all of a sudden, overheating tires with any setup I try... Also I discovered that my SPEED SENSITIVITY was set to 60% when I've known well for a few years that it should be 0 or 1%. I just couldn't drive that evening, same evening I saw the "Fairy Driver" wiz by at an impossible speed. Can we get hacked???
I've tried setups from past races, nothing. In Barcelona I was overheating the tires but can't remember how I fixed the problem with setup but I also slowed down slightly in long 2nd corner, I still have the setup, tried at Silverstone, over-heating tires are back.
I've been googling for fs one and over-heating tires, didn't find much.
When did the car bottoming out (sparks) begin? After we went to 1552 or 1.8?
Found some mention of over-heating on MMG, I think it was Phil Sousa simply blaming the track for hot tires. Funny thing is, I rarely ever got overheat messages from the spotter before...
After trying camber, toe in/out, compound, wings, I'm totally lost on this one.

My cockpit is finally done.....
Oh the insanity of it all... Amazing project huh?
Anyone know what helicopter game was shown? Seems much improved from my all time favorite Comanche 4.

I'm thinking maybe it's a change made by new physics and my actual car setup based on previous car setups from past races (and previous versions) have some setting really wrong that just can't cut it with the new updates maybe.
OMG...so its really u! Great to see u here....perhaps wanna try and take a spin with us?
Btw...i must say awesome job on the super-cockpit. Im greeeen with envy.
PENZMAN....i was struggling to find pace myself until i loaded my nurburg setup. My tyres overheated alot especially the FL and RL. With supersoft it can go as high as 140c peak on the FL. especially into Stowe, Club chicane exit, and the bridge exit. Copse can be hot on FL but momentarily and with care, by the time u reach Stowe, i wouldve considerably cooler and u can push again.

Super soft really is a prob at Silverstonedd. Try soften the suspension & a-roll bar (decrease) will help in the overheating prob. But with medium compound, I dont think there's overheating problem, it just that I cant be able to get optimum temp until lap 6 or so.
With supersoft, it can last a stint if ure on 2 stops. I gets hot and spotter will nag about it. Thats Ive never turn it on. If i want to know the tyre temps i just flick the LCD and see. I know if ive pushed the tyres too hard and i know when to slow down.
I would like to know how the tyres doing by how the car feels. Lap by lap i would try to go deeper and deeper to test if the tyres are finally green. Through testing n pratice, you will know when u can and when u cant.
One thing about doing it this way is the 'wake' of the tyres. All i know about wake is, it is where the tyres change their characteristics....and rfactor does model that. When wake happens, u have got to go from heating up the tyres to riding the tyres to nursing the tyres. and make sure u dont lose too much time in between that.
Ive yet to try a stint on soft....tried on supersoft and it can last up about 20 laps before running seriously wide at copse. And the wake is to rude and i spun alot. Supersoft can be quick but be prepared.
I'll try soft and medium later on.

Yup...suspension n ARB played a big part. Im now used to big negative front toe in to reduce tyres screeching into turns and along them. Balance it out with froont wing to give a grippier yet less hostile to the front tyres. Borderline softness of suspension n arb is important coz if ure too soft or too hard u'll lose time.....naturally.
Like what edison has posted few posts ago, i check myself first and makes sure i can do consistent lap first and taking the best ideal line around the track (gearing, wings (tyre pressure too)) (then suspension-arb (always monitor tyre pressure))....before working on my setup more seriously. (camber and toe (and still tyre pressure))

The red graph - My lap 17 at 1.20.8, super soft. The black graph - My lap 17 at 1.22.461, soft.
I pick the peak temp for the FL tyres at around 130c and pressure at around the same. The red upper horizontal line is the FL tyre pressure graph. It doesnt change much so i pressume the optimum pressure would be around 130kPa. At this pressure, the temp difference, u can see the mid tyre temp is cooler than the outer and inner temp. Its abit under-inflated compared to the black graph. But on track i felt that i had considerably good grip level with that pressure and temp...hence the laptime. Im yet to try to up the tyre pressures abit so the mid tyres temp can come closer to the inner and outer ones, means decreasing under-inflated of the tyres, and increasing rubber contact of the mid tyres with the track. Theoratically would increase overall grip....but track time will tell.

thx marra, i guess the tyres will always run hot here, i noticed getting the underinflated temp too, and the tyre pressure is about there dun have good experience at silverstone - still learning the racing line here, made some improvements by the day, but not quite there yet in terms of consistency
the first corner manage to do almost flatout running lower rear wing, but iinm Alonso mentioned in the video he lift just a little here
[tq to youtube i just stored a no. of real life onboard laps of various circuits in my phone - learn the lines and gear changes maybe]

yeah, i learned too from alonso onboard vid. before this i only got 1.24, but now i'm in 1.20's. i think i can do 1.19, but i was too goofy in the second sector
the key of not overheating your tires is try to make the corner as straight as possible. I think i got my tire temp problem under control, but now i have to contend with engine overheating. i suffered my first F1 engine blow out during Silverstone test race for 15 laps
