Hi i apologize for not first introducing myself, I am the guy who made the video of the cockpit,
which i also made, i am pleased that maranello55 thinks my cockpit/video is good enough to
share with people in this forum, and i thank you all for your comments.

here is some detail
the two floor panels, seat, seat back, wheel and pedals are moved using satellite dish positioning electric
linear actuators at a cost of approximatly £45 each

the tilt action of the wheel and the gearstick i achieved by making my own electric actuators
using 12volt motors some threaded bar and nuts.

to hook it all up so my pc can control it, i use Girder software to control velleman usb board, which then
triggers some relays which operate the actuators.

As for cost of making the pit
concrete cost me approx £120
all the wood approx £80
actuators and electronics and software £340
as i did all the work with help from friends, the labour cost was £0-00

almost everything else ( seat, speakers, carpets, lights etc) was either something i had already, or was donated to me.
