hey guys...i know la u all talking bout me...shorcut track la....driver A la....thats all i can do...i not mean to taking the shorcut....i always accidently skip gears when overshoot braking points...thats why i always trrrcut track...u guys will have a good race by now and next season....

Shah...tahu ko bwk laju kat Monza... icon_idea.gif kita tak peenah pertikaikan pasal short cut yg ko amik tu...aku pun ikut juga kalu terbabas. brows.gif
masalahnya kalu terbabas takpe tapi kalu dah jadi habit ikut shortcut....game dah jadi unfair rclxub.gif .Sekali lagi...aku bukan fokuskan kat ko sorang tapi org lain termasuk aku gak... shakehead.gif
Masalh skang ni track, bukan ko icon_idea.gif .....hatta league F1 Special siap modified.....tak kira lah ko terbabas ke tak,tyr akan pancit...tapi bagi aku tu utk professional boleh la.Kalu untuk league kita, aku rasa blum sampai masanya lagi.. tongue.gif pasal liga kita ni masih ada org yg mcm ko dan aku...bwk keter tak consistent...terbabaslah,terlajaklah,terbreklah,terlanggarlah,tertonjollah dan mcm2 ter yg seangkatan dengannya....

kesimpulannya, takder apa yg perlu ko risau kan.Jgnlah terguris hati tu...be professional rclxms.gif.Aku rasa org lain yg ikut shot cut pun terasa...maklulm laa...diorang tu pun makan cili gak...bkn ko sorang....anyway...aku respect time ko kat Monza...tak kiralah ko ikut shortcut ke tak...mmg laju!! rclxms.gif

oklaa...nak minum air sat...rasa pedas lak lidah aku ni... hmm.gif

orang lain tak terasa pun

BTW this is what i do if i tercut track

1. on practice...i'll slow down my car @ da track, maybe 1-2 sec, no need to push bcoz da timing is 'fake'
2. on da race... if i'm battle with other racer, maybe da gap around 0.5-1.0 sec n then i overshoot, i definitely set that gap again or, let them pass

maybe u wanna impress ur GF beside u, any cut track u just langgar n clock faster time

Thats quick race pace...omg. Their rules are smiliar to us? no aids and normal fuel and wear?

O ho..now ure an international spy...tsk tsk tskkk.

Its very hard to tell how the pace is gonna be like...(except urs PCcrazy...which is gonna be predictably fast) The rest of the field is gonna be really really close....
*
Rules are similar except that they allow the traction control set to low. But I didn't run with traction control and I think neither are the front runners.

As for the pace, I think its all in the compromise of speed and corner. You must have a forgiving car on the brakes and traction, Otherwise you are fast on several lap only. I think by now everyone should have reasonable idea on the compromise to be made. But I tell you one thing, the mid section is very crucial in the race trim, this is where mistake always happen.

But, overall, since Monza is a very simple track, therefore between drivers there is not much difference in the time to be made based on driving skills. It's all in the setup. Whether you find it or not is a different story. But I tell you a good setup here can help shave seconds per lap.

But to win a race, again you need to master the race craft. This is where fast driver is seperated. Again, I want to remind of the first corner, if all hells break lose it can ruined many drivers day. To me race craft is not the art of pushing, but knowing when to push and how far is the limitations. In a race trim, its impossible to commit 100% of your capability, so I think the safe zone is about to 90%-99% depending on where you are at one given time at the track. So when developing my race setup, I will always drive with ease and total relaxation and watch the times tumble as you become more accustomed to the behavior of the car. See if you can drive the car at ease and that is actually your true race pace. Given on the race day, your form is on high, that is a mighty bonus to you.

u can avoid it by using the ISI Brianza modified by F1 Special League..

once u hit  the shortcut bump...ur tire will punctured...expexially the 1 st and 2nd 'S' corner..

tried it already...

http://www.racingontheweb.net/files/downlo.../ROTW_Monza.rar

Agreed with u..using shortcut can save ur time 1-2 second faster.....

Wow, ini baru drastic punishment. but it would be better if there is modification to increase the height of chicane as what happened during F1 Season 2007 after FIA found Alonso taking advantage of the lower chicane and set very2 fast qualifying time at Monza.

Eh, anyone running the server today? I just back from watching EPL match and no one running the server though.

Guys, without cutting the track, what is the normal pace here? 1.22-1.23?

Karom....i WAS running the server....now it has been shut down...maintenance.... tongue.gif
Lap time is very illusive here coz of strategy variation and drivers who holding back their true pace. But yup...its around 1.22-23....some can do 1.21 and u know who rolleyes.gif

That server PCcrazy is talking about seems to be filled with Italian, Spanish and German drivers.

Crazy laps I saw...

Race start was a disaster though. Not much discipline on there, formation lap had plenty of accidents and spins. The start? I banged into a Toro Rosso with engine already on fire. rclxub.gif

That pace you saw was a qualifying pace. I was racing bartl for 2nd place, he was quick but nothing like the pace in the screenshot. The top 5 runners in the server are okay while the rest is clumsy and stupid. Expect that from public servers anyway. But as I have said they are really really fast guys. But we have fast drivers too in MSR.

Thats why i always practice with my race fuel....( except few occasional 'crazy hotlap mood' LOL)....im not a very good driver so thats why i must do laps after laps to, like PCcrazy said, accustom urself to the cars behaviour....and ur hardware setup aswell....

I always do shakedown at least once...mainly because accustomisation but also, and just as important is to get some 'muscle memory'. With laps after laps, without u noticing it, ur muscle is memorising responses...so does ur eyes and feet. So in race, and if anything peculiar and strange and out of place going on with the car, ur muscles will instantly pick that up....

Fitness is also important....coz given equal chances and car, the fitter driver will win it. Theres alot more abt fitness really.

I was mad that I crashed into the stopped car in front of me at the green lights, I did not stay around to watch the 18 lap race (4 am). I bet many who are flying can't keep the car on track for 18 laps with such low wing settings, I ll watch again to see how many actually finish a race.

I also always practice with race fuel. I don't see the point of fooling myself with wing and gear settings that won't work for half the laps when a race begins.

When I try to join (I launch rFactor on same pc) I get time out after I m asked for password... Can t use same pc for racing ?

Firewall & Port Forward in Router, the easiest way is set the DMZ pointing to your PC LAN IP or use direct connection withour router (bridging).
