I need some help here, I bought a second hand ps3 from a LYN forumer, its a 60gb version, this morning when i was playing MGS4, it hangs halfway, so I remove the disc and restart the system. But when i turn it back on it says that the data is corrupted so the ps3 did a restore automatically, after tat it says the harddisk is rebuilt or sumthing like tat, then after tat everytime I wanna startup my games it hangs halfway when the game starting up or some games say that I need to delete game data because game data is corrupted, HELP!!!

need help here

ive been a ps3 user for a week already
and since then, ive been playing it on my CRT TV using the Component AV Cable

i also have a sony bravia TV in my living room (not mine, family share TV.... tongue.gif )
my bravia model no is KLV-S40A10, bought it around last year
and after some research on the net, it turns out my bravia doesnt have HDMI support

below is the pic of my TV and the available inputs:

Attached Image Attached Image Attached Image

from the pic, its confirmed theres no HDMI input
and my best shot for now, is just the component av cable
so wanna ask to any ps3 users here, is there any option for this TV to support HD without HDMI input ?
do i need to spend / buy addons for this TV.........and if there is, what is it ?
me very clueless in this home theatre stuffs sweat.gif

^^^ for KLV-S40A10, confirmed no HDMI input

although component cable can support up to 1080p, very few TV has that specs

The best bet I think you can achieve is 1080i which is HD already

You're using component cable on your CRT TV, so just use that for your Bravia. You will still get 720p and 1080i no problem.

cuz i just told them my ps3 model no then ask if theres any future problems, can i send it there then they reply

"Regarding to your enquiry, if your PS3 is the official Singapore model, we suggest you to bring the machine to our service centre for inspection. After our technicians inspect your machine, they will be in a better position to assist and advise you."

so i was like ok.....lulz but yeah thank you again for the clarification

Of course you can send it there for warranty. It's their product, so they will have to provide warranty like they promised. But don't forget to register at the website!

yeah cuz b4 this i did sent them a mail b4 but that time i had no knowledge regarding the region code on the model no plus the ps3 box at the back has jap words so i assumed it was a jap unit (well im blamed for not actually doing my homework thoroughly) so i told them that my unit is a jap unit with the same question asked and they replied i cant cuz they say the parts are different for the jap unit and the sg unit.
