im using a viewsonic vg2021m. already try to connect the ps3 with it using a hdmi-dvi cable. but then the monitor shows that it is out of range. y it happens? help me... sad.gif

hi,try to use the auto detect for the screen resolution in the display setting,and mind to tell us wat size is ur LCD monitor??

It will be stretched slightly if the monitor does not support 1:1 pixel mapping since the aspect ratio is different. However it is not that noticeable (well at least for me)

hi..i just got my ps3 40gb today..can i ask how can i play online game..i have wireless modem..

Can any1 teach me pls?Do we need to create acct?

i am using LG 20" LCD, it's working fine for me

What your PS3 region? You can use the following direct download link to download the update file:

(Asian Region)

http://dsa01.ps3.update.playstation.net/up...58/PS3UPDAT.PUP

Put the PS3UPDAT.PUP inside your thumbdrive/Memory Stick under PS3/UPDATE folder. Then, on your PS3 select System Update through Storage Device.

Nope, not exactly. You can use US update on Asian or Japan PS3. No difference. Well, I guess most Ceramic White PS3 sold here are Asian region.

Most people use Asian update, the one that I just posted. And, it does not effect your PSN account registration. In fact, you can create multiple accounts; whether its Asian account or US account. You can use any region to logon and play online multiplayer. No restriction.

if i place it horizontally, it will hang sometimes in the middle of the game but it's ok if i place it vertically..
is tht normal?

yup.. but the hang never occur in game.. it's actually occured during the loading
