i really think that by using only GSM connection adn turning off UMTS would save some power...my with my usage of sms, 2hrs of music/radio, no camera, no rotateme and 10 mins calls daily...my phone can last 2days+ before warning comes....i would say battery is quite good for this phone....

on another note, i guess that the price for avaxx n95 8gb is still hovering around 2800 is becoz this phone has no direct competitors as yet...thats y nokia still can afford to price this phone at this price...

Yes it's true, it literally allow me to use another 24 hours for light usage.

But don't get me wrong, I do that simply because I live up on the hill and the the GSM signal is quite weak there, let alone UMTS. If I set to UMTS, constantly switching between UMTS and GSM + searching networks will drain the battery like hell. Ever wonder the signal symbol somethines antenna and sometimes 3G cause the phone is searching for the best network to work with, but if you find it's doing it very often better switch to either UMTS or GSM. I don't use 3G so GSM worked fine for me. FYI, missgeek had her phone lasted for 3 days average even with dual mode.

noob question... how long does it take to update the firmware? i'm updating my phone from v11 to v15... and its been almost an hour... phone also finish charging already.... and its still updating... does it take this long? or longer than tat?

i am tempted to disconnect the phone at this point....

too long dude....Mine only take 1/2 hour only...

i tried closing the updater window and it showed me a message "program cannot be closed while update in progress".

and the damn window all this while is still showing "preparing installation"...
