CSL is not an authorised distributor. It's an AP company that provides 15 months warranty.

since CSL is not an authorised seller then if i wanna get AP set then might as well get ComSat right...why pay more when you can get the phone at a cheaper price? smile.gif

Now i'm comtemplating to get either Avaxx or ComSat....hmmmm.....

Hi,
Could u add me to the list as well? Thanks.
D-Zire - 25-11-2007 RM2800 , AVAXX

Guys i've got one questions,
i noticed that the screen saver thingy (there is a bar showing time and date only) is always vertical...i wonder how do u change it back to horizontal mode (normal way of holding the phone)...i've tried to slide the slider up and then wait until the screen appears but still the screen saver thing remains vertical....anyone knows how to change it? Thanks

You can't change it. It's one of the most common bugs for this model. Gotta wait for the next firmware.
*
aiks...oh well...gotta live with it then...but i can see that N95-1 dont have this problem... rclxub.gif

Wah 2 days didnt login so much happening! Congrates to new users, heheh now u belong to the coolest phone club, kekekkeke.

I decided not to flash my firmware, there is not so much changed, the landscape screensaver also not yet corrected yes? I have my own remedy, hehehe. I just set my screensaver the other way around, heheh so when the screensaver came up, it's in horizontal lor. tongue.gif

The phone is slippery, I had twice near death experience with my phone, hahahah. My heart nearly stop like that... scary. Dont la why, the phone is not slippery but it feels like always want to jump from my hand like that. I still hate the fingerprints and smears. Really want the phone cover like for the N95 shown by littlediana. At least I dont have to touch the back of the phone... the rubber casing also easily get fingerprints leh...
*
how do u change the screensaver to the other way round?

Not really got what you guys talking about the free case?

I don't think the original package came with any protective case?

Mr Lonely did you mean your price package came with extra 1 battery? That seems to be a very sweet deal! nod.gif
*
yeah my ori package doesnt come with leather casing as well...hmmm...but i think nokia n95-1 do come with one...

Go to "tools" --> setting --> phone --> network --> dual mode change to "GSM" (UMTS is 3G). So when you want to use 3G thing just switch back to dual mode. If I'm not wrong if you want 3G but dont' want people call you then can switch to UMTS only... tongue.gif
*
eh? i thought 3G is the same as UTMS? well...3G IS UTMS...correct me if i'm wrong...

QUOTE(schizophrenic @ Nov 28 2007, 04:54 AM)
ap users if having that trouble can always go to their respective service centre
the only reason i said its foc for ori is based on personal knowledge.

i cant say the same for ap as i do not own an ap set.

anyway i've read about people neglecting the gap and a few days later, it came off. no idea if its true but read it somewhere.
better safe than sorry right?
*
woh...is that serious?

i was wondering if the chrome-plated button keys ie the D-pad, call and end keys will peel off after some prolong usage? it would be very unsightly when that happens.... sweat.gif

i think UMTS covers GSM...which means if u activate UMTS, GSM will be activated as well...so if u use GSM only then 3G is not enabled...

Hmm.. I Wonder If You Can Save That RM 30 By Changing The Product Code To The APAC And Update/Reinstall The Firmware With Nokia Software Updater On Your Own... Your AP Warranty Will Still Void If You Flash A Different Region Of Firmware Into It.. (Unless Your Product Code Remains The Same)... Well, I'm Not Too Sure When It Comes To AP Set Warranty, Just A Suggestion Though...
Your AP Set Has Tattoo.. The Word "TIM" Is A Network Operator In Other Country.. There Are AP Sets Without Tattoo Too.. smile.gif
Yea, Very Sad Indeed.. So It Should Be "N95-1 + RM200"  smile.gif

mind telling me wat is the story all about? i'm pretty curious to know =P

QUOTE(Ash @ Nov 28 2007, 09:48 PM)
FYI, there is no differences between the firmware that you get through NSU and the one you get from Nokia service centre and the successful rate is 100% if your phone is original and you don't screw up the updating process. I wouldn't waste the 30 bucks if I were you.
*
yeah...its pretty easy to update ur phone if its original one...y waste the money when u can do it urself...might as well spend the RM30 somewhere else...

QUOTE(ddww @ Nov 29 2007, 07:15 AM)
@pigcat

ya... i found out bout this last nite too.. i'll have to plug in the headset quicker if i wanna use headset mode, else it will prompt me reagarding those selection that you'd mentioned... and im wondering too, how come sometime its 3 options and sometime its 4 options? hum... but since you're having the same problem, i guess its normal gua.. tongue.gif

edit : aiks no good, if plug in slowly and if it prompt you with only 3 options, then cant use heatset la... have to change in enhancement menu... very troublesome indeed...
*
lolzz...now this is where the fun part comes...the speed of plugging in the headset actually determines wat kind of options u get....

yeah i noticed that when u close the slider and in operation mode (not the music mode), the slider can move abit but when the slider is in music mode, the position of the slider is very rigid and secure. Is this normal?

hi bro............one more thing can this one runs a couple of program at a time??

lets ssay i am playing music/mp3 over bluetooth and then i wanna run the garminxt map as well at the same time..possible??
*
yeap...definitely u can run 2 or more programs simultaneously...but garmin xt program does eat up quite a bit of ram...so i guess using garmin and playing music at the same time will somehow slow down ur phone operation a bit...but no worries i guess since N95 8 gb has 128mb of RAM... biggrin.gif

1. google....

2. 7mBps?  sweat.gif  it's 10x slower, my dear. 650kBps to be exact. so happy transferring 8GB of files...

3. depend on firmware and region. APAC, afaik, all unable to silent the shutter sound
*
i wonder why all AsiaPac phone cant silent off the shutter sound yea? probably ppl at nokia think that AsiaPac has more perverts...so as to pervent that they decided that all phone in that region cant silent their camera shutter sound...
