About time! Thank God!

Too many Qs to answer, so I'm just gonna write here:

1. To view video call on TV: YES. What you can see on ur phone can see on the TV. It's TV output so go figures. The quality sucks for video call for sure, like pigcat said, camera for video call not high quality to ensure low data transmission for smooth streaming.

2. Battery life good la as per toughnut said. New firmware for N95 boost a lot of things, I think they add that demand paging thing, so saving battery juice, applications loading time is lower.. faster camera operation etc. A friend of mine who has N95 so happy now To charge your phone every 2 days is ok what? Dont think it's ma fan wor. Who doesnt charge their phone until a week? Maybe black and white phone can la.

2. Nokia Map is the Map application, does it come with Msia Maps? ( AP sets) - Maps cna be downloaded via Map Loader software. Go to nokia site it doesnt matter AP or authorised, they are all Nokia phone, AP set here is authrorised set somewhere else in this world mah (unless u boy Nokla then cannot la, hahahaha)

3. Does MapKing directly has Msia and SG map loaded? - I heard they have the best maps or Asia. Didnt check it out, too lazy la all the GPS. Wait till the need arise lor.

4. What else i have to do with my new N958GB..?? - this is what I do with my phone: Watch movie/video clips (application dependant), play games, listen to music, read books/novel/manga (application dependant), take pics, take video, surfing internet, be online on my YM, skype and MSN, scanning document (application dependant), read emails, check appointments... hehe. But the most I do is read books, take pics and watch movie/music lor..

5. where? or can i install the V menu style(found on n81) into my N95? - if you know the application name, google it for percuma stuff. Most prob can install 3rd party application if have, N81 is also S60v3 yes?

Hehe yeah can play landscape mode... but I think it's games dependant? if you try the Fifa games demo, you can play landscape mode, it's in the games option button wor... but not for Asphalt.

Hmm didn't noticed it, cause I don't really care about shooting quality, just want to capture some precious moment only. Doesn't seems darker or something though.

But the scratched on my lense is very bad ah... the whole center of it like different color already. To take pics can see this darker round thinglike shadow but on the pic itself dont have la... sigh. I SERIOUSLY need to but the camera cover spare parts...

I think it's game dependant too but playing fifa I think I'm not able to use the MM keys? They're just demos anyway which I think Nokia will further support each N-gage compatible phone for the final full version I think.

Nevertheless, I'm more and more attracted to this n-gage games, looks promising! Hopefully those japanese company will re-release the classics la like Final Fantasy 4~6 Chrono Trigger (I love RPGs!).

Hmm no ah, don't have this problem I think. Can just turn it brighter de but the damn EV not working on positive setting lol. That said, I didn't notice any side effect, seems normal as before applying the protector.

well i just tried the GPS in my room and it locked on in few minutes..the lights are all green ..but i see nothing in the screen...it means i dont have msia map inside right?

always got the voice msg "deviation from planned route" -.-!!

Go to connection wizard, it will walk you thru it. Just make sure u know if the email u wanna set is using POP or SMTP and the likes of it. I only have GMail and my WindowLive mail... for gmail just go to the setting, u will find all the related info. For WindowsLive Mail, it comes with the Windows Live Msger I installed.

Or you can also go to Messaging > Settings > E-mail, just walk thru it too, it will ask Qs u need to fill in lor

have u all tried taking pic with the front cam?

the saved photo will be saved either vertically or horizontally flipped..

get what i mean?

another question. I realize that the on phone speaker is quite loud, but the ear phone is quite soft even though already adjust the volume to 100%. is it ... normal or something not right with my earphone?

Which headphone you're using? FYI, not all headphone well suited each device. Generally good heaphones will require much more power to drive. I have 2 headphone, the Sony (RM119) and Koss (RM150) all need 100% but still not yet enough loud. However, the very same loudness just need 30% of the volume to drive the Griffin headphones, if 50%/60% ear will explode lo...can't imagine if set to 100%. Unfortunately, my Nokia N95 8GB just HATE the Griffin headphone, it was working everytime with the headphone and then got one time I insert the headphone during gaming then restart then since then it cannot detect it as a headphone, everytime insert just automatically switch to TV out, doesn't even give me options. I wish it works with my N95 8GB though cause I love the voume though clarity really not quite there...

Hi pigcat, I am using original earphone that comes together in box. Very surprise about that, all songs i play, all movie i watch i have to use 100%. I suspect something is not right with the connector. I tried to use my aiwa earphone, same, quite soft. The 100% of N95 is just like 60% of my Mini O2. weird...


Which version of MSN that N95 support? Is it the normal Windows version? Can anyone tell me? Thanks thanks.

Hey I actually think it's the other way round, it should be the Griffin headphone being weird but not the other 2 expensive one (Griffin also not cheap ahhhh RM100). I don't think headphone will be detected as TV out should be something wrong hmm...I think the output of the N95 8GB not too enough for heavy listeners but for me I think it's enough already cause I'm using in ear earbud headphone mah.

I'll try again with other headphones and report back ya.

been busy installing stuff into my n958gb..

i got the GPS running..downloaded map tru nokia map loader..

my position is lock but only can see the street name and places.

there are no shops or other icons like Food and stuff...

and do i need another type of map to use the search options? like search for petrol kiosk..or things like that..

try garmin mobile with malsing map . got petrol kiosk and toll booth symbols and can install additional POI.

guys..who know where to donwload asia map? i format my phone all application gone..PM me if anyone have that application.

If you don't use the GPS i think u are wasting the money buying this phone . The GPS is very accurate using Garmin XT. Anyway Garmin Malsing map is updated every month.

I also wanted to try out the Garmin XT, downloaded the k*yg*n but still not yet experiment it yet mainly I have to search for the maps lol. I did downloaded the whole china map for garmin (updated 3rd quater of 2007) but hell I'm in Malaysia so no point la haha (though I'm going to macau and guangzhou very soon). Although maps are more detailed but I'll just stick to Nokia Maps first cause too lazy to do experiments now.

By the way, I think I found out why the battery is draining so badly out of a sudden. So it happened again just now and I think I tracked down what went wrong - apparently I accidently pressed the symbian key (menu key) and made the camera running in the background and stupid me I press the shutter again and call up the camera once more. And then it seems to have 2 instances of camera app running without showing the 1st instance in the task manager, but normally recalling the same app will just switch to the app but not open another instance. Whatever it is, so I think there's a hidden camera application running so even though I quit the 2nd instance the 1st instance might have running non stop there.

Anyway I think it was the same that I accidently pressed the menu key then switch back to camera via task manager but I can't recall if I did that. Nevertheless, from now on whenever I use camera I don't dare to touch the menu button again or else I'll have to restart the phone to ensure no unwatned battery power drain.

As strange as it is, I'll just stick to this weird flaw first, hopefully this is addresable by Nokia developers.
