@fylon
if you want i can spond my 2000+ and the mobo to you. promise that you give me your p4p800se. wahahahaha @herojack41 thats better. so you havent oc?? just disable the auto oc option in bios then manually increase the 5mhz at a tiome till you fail boot to windows. the rest you set to auto(like ram timing, vcore, vdimm etc). once you have reach oc limit(when cannot boot to windows), slowly decrease 1mhz at a time till can get into windows. since you dont have the good cooler around, better dont increase the vcore. at stock i think there is no problem for you to get till 3ghz. are yours prescott or northwood? (just saw you update it, prescott, right? 2.8E) FYI, oc on stock vcore still not having huge risk of spoil your system. better be sure that you keep an eye on the cpu temp. if over 50C then better stop pushing more eventhough it can go further. because you are using prescott. consult fylon and sang_karim, they have almost the same stuffs like yours. Wondering why all of you getting p4p800se?? wahahahaha.... Edited: update some info. This post has been edited by kabukiawie: Nov 19 2007, 03:41 PM |

thats the total idea of open case...wahahaha....i used a tablefan to blow diirectly to the casing. dust is alot but performance is great. hehehe
but dont smoke and keep you room clean, then you can open the case panel. ofcoz for permanent solution, improve the casing airflow is important like add intake and exhaust fan. i tell herojack to open the case is to chenk is the cpu really hot or just the hot air still trap nearby HFS area. |
