Nowadays they seldom host even for free makan & investment talk. Last time got many i accompany my father. Then when i qualify to become PB, no much this perk liao.

Now im Ambank, CIMB & Alliance.
Any bank that always got free makan & investment talk?

Banks still organize events to promote their products regularly. Just that only invite those deem qualified or likely to buy to attend.

Maintain a minimum of SGD 200k in AUM. Unlike Malaysian banks, it can be in stocks and all other sort of investment assets, instead of just cash.

A question pls. If you are a Singapore Chartered Bank priority customer, are you also automatically a Malaysia Chartered Bank priority customer? With HSBC, you are anywhere else in the world, I think

AFAIK, for HSBC and SCB, you only need to maintain PB status in just one country. If you have oversea accounts with HSBC/SCB, they can be upgraded to PB status without fulfilling the minimum PB balance requirement in that particular country. For this reason, maintaining the PB status in MY is more attractive as the minimum PB requirement is usually the lowest among all jurisdictions.

For Citibank, you would have to meet the PB minimum requirement in all countries where you intend to have PB status.
Stand to be corrected if bank policy has changed.

Mine HLB PB like nothing like that... the RM just tell me I got PB status, thats all

Ask them to apply a credit card take months,, in the end i just give up..

I think CIMB Preferred is better
*
Yes, they give me priority banking debit card. they also help me apply Visa Infinite card, see can get or not.

I have no experience with SC SG. But I think you should ask your RM in SG instead of asking SC MY directly.

One of my friends has PB with SC MY. His RM helped him to open account with SC in SG, HK and China. All accounts come with PB status without the local minimum balance requirement. In some cases, he still has to meet the local RM face-to-face as part of the account opening process, which requires cross-border travel.

I was wondering, those who are priority customer with a bank. May I know what's the benefits do you get? and how's your Relationship manager?
*

The main benefit at CIMB preferred is the Airport Lounge access, that is a really good thing when you travel a lot. I mainly use the lounge at KLIA, but have also other Airports in SEA.

It is also very good to have a RM that can handle things for you when you are not present.

6month at CIMB is 3.85, all other are even much worse.

That is why I cannot keep the 250k for preferred at CIMB at the moment. Wonder how fast they will kick me out.

does they charge you? I saw the TNC is quite strict.

Yes, I used before while being under 250k. As far as I know you get a letter that you need to top up otherwise you lose preferred status.

Not sure about SC. But you are absolutely correct about HSBC PB except for the need to do face-to-face account opening process. Some country, yes. Some country, no. Or unless they have change the procedure since I last done it.

With HSBC, it is clearly stated in their website that overseas account opening is one of the perks of being a PB customer. SC actually offers a similar service but this is not clearly communicated in their website. What I said in post #1867 is based on the experience of someone who has already done that.

However, cross border transfer between SC bank accounts is not free, even with PB status.

So you use the cc to access PPL before or after you receive the letter?
