Update Today: Many maxis sites shutdown B7 already

That's rather drastic.

I'm still seeing B7 in KL.

No wonder even with B1 20MHz BW i still can't get close to 300mbps speed...now what they excuse to totally cutoff B7. In rural area, yes B7 bad. 4G+ full bar. But your phone will keep buffer when the phone signal lock to B7. Also, not all Maxis tower enable B1 & B8. Compare to CD. I think Maxis just bad at doing jobs to provide good coverage. Speed now average 30~50mbps at night. 5G no need say. DNB not doing coverage expansion since last years. And, don't tell me i need to subs second line to U Mobile to access Huawei 5G. Luckily im no longer subs to postpaid. It was good before fiber is a thing. Now fiber can access internet stuff much more faster. DNB 5G congest, 4G+ when browse socmed high quality video stuff just average 20mbps speed. Fiber easily the speed jump to 300mbps to load video. Again, DNB 5G at my place congest. 1mbps also hard to get at night. Feels like 5G did not exist. Gonna keep my mobile line just with prepaid. And, use fiber for heavy stuff...

It is now back to normal, no idea why. Quite significant number of sites btw

Maybe they're adjusting their CA configs?

Even we saw news that Telco injected more money to DNB to expand coverage I think since 2025 no single progress on 5G coverage network quality and speed also going down drastically 4G felt better

Maxis signal is been getting from bad to worst...

thinking of changing to other telco if this continues...

places previouss which i have no issues with connection is struggling sometime to have a steady internet connection...

It does seem DNB has given up. At my workplace, DNB 5G is near unusable.

I think Maxis had shifted its focus to prioritize more on fibre expansion nowadays, u do see Maxis has started to pacak its own DP and not relying on TM DP in more and more places now

Everything is underground here so not sure how are they going to pacak their own DPs.

I'm more hoping for TIME than Maxis (which you can get via TM HSBB) if another fibre operator is rolling their own infra.
