Thought it might be some MOCN but it's being aggregated with ARFCN 1300 which I believe is their B3.
Will report back if I observe the same reduction elsewhere.

Just noticed that Maxis' 2600 MHz has been reduced to 10 MHz, at least in the KL Sentral area.

QUOTE(shaun_kok @ Sep 28 2025, 01:45 PM) Actually CelcomDigi only have 35MHz max on B3, and 20MHz on B1 after bandwidth adjustments - they will still have B7 via Altel only (they will no longer own that spectrum). That's why they have to cap on 100Mbps Speaking of which, does Maxis lease spectrum from another entity? If they have to drop to just 10 MHz, does this signal (hah) the expiry of the deal or are they just test test. |

Berjaya huh? Not sure how it works but, are they going to repurpose it for U Mobile or something? Last time I had U Mobile they also only have 10 MHz of B7.

QUOTE(shaun_kok @ Sep 28 2025, 10:50 PM) Another possibility - Maxis, U Mobile are going to get that released CelcomDigi spectrum (?) Interesting haven't thought of that, also I remember CD having B7 at EARFCN 3150 & 3350, I guess they have relinquished 3350 as I haven't seen it for a while, just 3150 (which I think was Celcom's?).In fact recent developments (for example being awarded as the company responsible of second 5G network) has resulted on U Mobile become the largest holder of mobile spectrum in Malaysia. |

Wonder why they decided to stop leasing, what can Redtone even do with it.

Well, that settles it. Will keep an eye if they bump up the bandwidth for B1.

I think it makes more sense for them to do 15 + 10. Using 20 alone leaves you with 5 MHz of wasted spectrum. prosibu liked this post

You can verify if anyone else is able to get 5G. It's all the same coverage (for 5G). This post has been edited by Epic_winner091: Oct 6 2025, 09:47 PM my44 liked this post

Where I work in KL, LTE is often faster than 5G despite getting full bars.

QUOTE(NagaK @ Oct 18 2025, 01:24 AM) Even we saw news that Telco injected more money to DNB to expand coverage I think since 2025 no single progress on 5G coverage network quality and speed also going down drastically 4G felt better It does seem DNB has given up. At my workplace, DNB 5G is near unusable. |

Everything is underground here so not sure how are they going to pacak their own DPs.
I'm more hoping for TIME than Maxis (which you can get via TM HSBB) if another fibre operator is rolling their own infra. |
