Well can’t believe I would need to buy this one day for preparation but that’s reality

I really have no idea wheere to begin with
I stay in condo so i need to hold the wake at a place, ceremony etc

The reason I asking this because if my family member pass away I will be sad state n with this sign up package hopefully I wont be in chaos

from my experience. its better to be prepared and get everything organize. else when the day comes, everyone will come to you and you will be confused and too stress and disturbed to make the right decision

my grand parents pass away 3 days a part...you can imagine the stress. long lost relative never seen before suddenly promote burial plot. look for nice photo dont have, need to photoshop-kena chop I think rm500 or so (mind you that was like 20 years ago).

then the funeral process, discuss with local funeral service or the big one like Nirvana, usually got package one.

last but not least, please inform your love ones. make the wills before leave, prevent future argument, this always happen in chinese sociaty...

Just engage Nirvana, they will explain to you A - Z. Buying early is recommended because it will be cheaper and less hassle than last minute purchase. Recently bought a package last minute around RM15k. All inclusive ceremony, casket, monk prayers etc. From my experience, Nirvana agents are very professional. The Nirvana center in KL is very modern and nice.

If money is not an issue, early preparation is always the way to go no matter is for ur self or ur elderlies.
I just experience this last 2 month that my father suddenly pass away , but he already well prepared almost everything for this day to come. We just have to do our part & no need to worry for the money issue.

if you single, masyuk islam, then let them handle, that's what a lot of single foreveralone chinese uncle did.

if you dont want masyuk islam, then you can buy the "apartment" or "landed" burial plot. and nirvana I know you can pre buy all the service, until when you die, the price stay the same, instant cases usually cost more, they follow market price and no discount for you.

in the end, it's just your choice (or your parents or your loved one's choice) on where you/he/she wanna park his/her final rest

I bought one spot in PJ for about 5k, had to fork out 18k first for the entire 3-day funeral, but the guy told us they will only ask for payment after the day end unlike Nirvana where you NEED to pay the entire thing first else they won't bother helping you. The white money collected just enough to cover the 18k.

I also bought one Nirvana for about RM33k, not landed, but got durian pay if they got earn profit (something like that) but only after finishing paying your settlement

Other races will also have volunteers or ngo to handle forever alone death.

Otherwise the govt will do the necessary.

yea, some I heard got also, i saw the coffin donation before for those foreveralone, or those stay in old folk homes :X

you need to buy the columbarium plot unit, and the funeral servcice separately. 2 diff things.

All services inclusive such as cremation and your peanuts for guests. Any additional stuff or you like to add a buffet spread, or more peanuts then additional charges applies. Package gives you a limited number of peanuts packs for example.

For the urn lot unit need to buy separately. My case the urn lot unit already purchased few years back.

My Mother Pass away, 3 days funeral package (Home) + Urb + cremation + Food + Sifu prayer are Rm13.5k. Deposit Rm5k, Balance will pay by people / relative donation. Sucessful collect around 8.3k. Everything end, just top up another Rm200. Another Rm5k for Urb + Name plate placing spot at Temple.

i'm not superstitious one la, i ask my father, he straight told me he want cremation, he also decide my mom same as him, next month he said already buy two slot on my kampung bone ash tower..

From my experience.

For express service, meaning same day burial and very basic Buddhist prayer + urn + cremation + ashes collection...cost me almost RM 9K by Nirvana. Their service was pretty good and efficient.

Parking space in collamborium was separately purchased.

15k is cheap. Had a funeral for family member in Nirvana Sg Besi recently. Was told the cheapest 3-night package pun cost RM20k iirc.

Depends on what your family member wants.

Best is to ask them what kind of after death services that they wanted, I understand that it might be quite difficult to ask this kind of question , but use your EQ to ask and I am sure they will be happy to let you knoe what they want when they are gone.

I just wanted a very simple ritual.
No big band to send me off , no chanting or praying party.
Just plain soft music during my 1 day wake if frens & family want to come see me 1 last time ( I am a Chinese , born Buddhist but actually a non believer cause its Ai age now )
Once cremated , just strewn my ashes into the ocean will be good enough.

based on fengshui and taoshi advice, it is not recommended to throw the ordinary people's cremated ashes into river/sea, at least should put into columbarium if affordable.
this is because some believe soul of ordinary people will stuck in water if do so

Burn with fire aka as cremation. Cheap, clean & no need after sales services.

unsure about Nirvana but Fairy park provides installment plan up to 10 years for burial plot, columbarium and also funeral service.

currently, its twin burial plot costs RM138,888 while single one needs 70K++ , Nirvana is almost the same.
Bliss Gardens is more cheaper with 70K for twin plot last year

funeral serivce is > 25K for 3 days wake.

please also check the deceased person is born in 破月 or not
based on fengshui, not recommend to pray 破月 person once buried or cremated

after cremate then keep at urn, or spread to sea?
Burial cost a lot more these days- unless u are at kampong, small town. Urn need a place to place for long term.

and if you are past 40, can consider to purcase final resting place. any thing could happen. i did it for a peace of mind for my spouse, children in case anything happen. want to make things as smooth as possible.

No matter where you have your Nirvana wake...end up must go to Shah Alam.

Nirvana uses municipal cremation center as well.....
eg the one near PJ 222, Cheras etc... I think the fees is around RM 350 paid to the cremation center, paid by Nirvana.

it should typically find the place nearer to the final march location if do at home. Coz dont want to travel so far, and trouble so many relative for the final journey.

I find my hometown (Seremban) local funeral service. Most funeral (Chinese) in Malaysia will be similar package. They will ask do it at Home or Funeral Center (Hall). Services will included Dinner for guest (Veg or non Veg). 3 meals for the passaway. Bottomless Water, Milo & Coffee. Select the Sifu based on passaway hometown language ...(My mother was Hokkien) (Hokkien most expensive )
Mine was do at Home...so package also included 2 big Tent setup outside house.

After select Package then choose Urb + Nameplate神主牌。 Normal one or fancy one. Normal will be included by package. Fancy need to up abit. Mine was top up Rm500 for Urb with Guanyin drawing + Buddish sutra.

All package will come with black pants + white shirt (S - XXXL)
Last day from Home to Cremation / Buried Alphard coffin + Bus also part of package.
Cremation process + Sifu + Burn + collect bone ash all part of package.

For tombstone another 50k

One need to buy nearer to your children else who on earth will cross state to go pay homage next time?

Yup....RM18k is just right....my dad and mum around 18k each but Condominium need another fee though.
And then must do 7 day..14 day until 1 year qhich ia not include in package.

My mum funeral was before Covid.....2019
And then my Dad funeral was last year 2024.

At both resting at Siam WAT.....

Cost us around RM15k for my mum. Covers from the pick up from hospital, coffin for display and 3 days 2 nights at her house with canopy, (back then) covid sanitation spot etc and very simple food catering (kuih and pao). Include cremation expenses but not the columbarium spot

where got lah , most of the time its free if under kariah masjid .

just standby few hundreds for the kain kapan / etc

the material build like kepuk kubur etc is all optional. last time did for late mum for 2k. but that's about it .

ayam truly advice, if u think very hard to find money at old age, do consider this life (death) hack .

best thing about this is, once you masuk islam, your counter will reset and become like baby . meaning no sin counted whatsoever . Also those that continue eat la m y no ekor la, honestly, ayam have no answer .

Btw, are those packages transferable to another person in case you don't use their services when you KO?

Advantages:
1) prices keep rising all the time, so you are securing the price for now..but do read the T&C (example, some packages don't include urn and catering).
2) no need to hunt for a package when the time comes, which is really important. You just contact them and they will arrange everything (collecting the body from mortuary to be embalmed, etc)

Disadvantage:
1) if parlour halls are all occupied, the client has to wait for his/her turn - which means delay of at least one day (depending on when queue) or more. Those who pantang might be affected.

Fairypark is more affordable compared to nirvana. In Buddhism, we can do it simple. Go to a buddhist temple (not the chinese type) to seek advice.

I could be wrong though, anyone can feel free to correct me:

If you bought a place holder/plot, be it cremation or burial, if no "body" occupied it yet then you can transfer the name to other person (assuming you have already paid finish the package/loan of that).

Else, if someone already occupied in it, you can't transfer the name to other person, but if you choose to transfer the "body" out, the place can no longer be re-used.

Still depend on the place on where you bought it, need to ask & check.

Based on my experience, those funeral package is transferable. My case is under Nirvana.
