In short- there are 2 aspect to concern.
A- final resting place.
cremate, or burial?
after cremate then keep at urn, or spread to sea?
Burial cost a lot more these days- unless u are at kampong, small town. Urn need a place to place for long term.
> some temple available, i think chepest.
> else KTC as one of the guys shared, 2-3k to 5k
> if got budget then can consider XiaoEn or nirvana
B- Ceremony package.....
> can try those traditional type, but the pricing might be not clear and there are a lot of add-ons. during the time of grief, no mood to go through details and haggle......
> many take up nirvana.... dont need to worry, all included** and can do at home and at parlour. Though.... take note they are like good business sometime parlor have to wait a few days before got slot.
pacakge now is about 20k, if you purchase in advance. if purchase when needed then around 23k. they way to get you committed first, and with that they cash pool is really large. Can do installment and can use for anyone.
**- got cost adder if add bus, add monks for chating, etc la.
my advice- at least purchase the ceremony package.
and if you are past 40, can consider to purcase final resting place. any thing could happen. i did it for a peace of mind for my spouse, children in case anything happen. want to make things as smooth as possible.
