Hmm never heard of zepto before till i visit this thread. The service they offer is awesome. We're able to customize almost everything in the laptop according to our preferences. Well too bad the warranty is an issue... Better wait for it to open up networks in malaysia first before considering it.

@vincentlaw
how much did u pushed ur 8600GT? A vast difference between default clock and overclocked speed in ur 3dmark scores le

Originally i get 3k 3dmark06 score for my 8600M GS. After overclocking it, i only manage to get 3.8k =.="

clock 600/ shader 1200/ memory 900(1800)...temperature max 73'c stress 30mins with atitool...

Yes it is your post. Our site actually monitors our visitors from the source of every click. So its interesting to find out what is going on outside of Singapore. Where did you find out about Zepto in Asia. We're actually the Asian rep so we'll be looking out for Malaysian partners. If you know any reputable Malaysian Repair Centres and retail partners please let us know. We were wondering about "Vital Computers" but they didn't strike me too much.

Our natural expansion plan is, of course, Malaysia. It makes it easier on the deliveries.

@crapp0

We don't have ATI cards at the moment for probably one reason. Service and Support. Its easier to manage one brand than two. However, since the GPU cards are interchangeable. We might have ATI cards in the future as well, you'll never know.

hmm... perhaps me being a S'porean explains everything?? biggrin.gif

well, more choices is always better, and Zepto is definetely one of the few in the top of my own list for gaming laptops... read quite a lot of good reviews abt their products in overseas sites...

too bad Zepto didn't come to SG until recently, else i may have grabbed one of their laptops...

Nvidia and ATi...

Nvidia is indeed the more reputable brand, and have better driver and games support compared to ATi...

however, Nvidia is bugged by quite a number of problems lately... scroll around the threads and u'll see users complaining abt their G84M and G86M GPU, which breaks down easily...

ATi, on the other hand, has very strong integrated graphic (Radeon HD 3200), which is currently one of the best in the market... but there's more that ATi can offer later...

I think he's talking about the ATI 4000 series since the desktop version are very good. So it would be safe to assume that the mobile series would be equally as good. Unfortunately have 2 wait till next year.

for ATi i am referring to XGP (eXternal Graphic Port), which allows the AMD Puma laptop to connect to a desktop GPU to provide better graphic performance... a much cheaper and mobile solution compared to Nvidia's SLI in 17" laptops...

Does anybody know how much the Asus G50 A1 cost since i checked out a few websites in the US and they arent that expensive and much cheaper then the Zepto laptop which i was considering and have more additional things such as an e-sata port.

In the states it cost only USD 1639 whereas if i were to buy in singapore would be more then SGD3000 which is a big ripoff.

I wonder if i were to ask someone 2 buy that laptop and bring it over to singapore, will that person incur any charges or tax?

From what i heard recently,Blizzard says that you only need a Ge Force FX 5XXX series or a ATi Radeon 9600 to play SC2.

As long as your GC has Pixel Shader 2,SC2 should work.

slightly better... both of them ve exactly the same spec except for memory controller

if HD3200 has got SidePort, the difference is even smaller

I think a HD3450 would run SC2 on low,at least.

Blizzard is known for making games that run on low end rigs.It shouldnt be a problem for you.

Besides,the game havent been optimised yet.It could be lower,IMO.

Probably we'll wait till open beta to see the system requirements.
