I held the Air for the first time at a Machines during lunch break just now. It was impressive, for the first couple of minutes, and then I remembered my old iPhone 7 Plus felt similarly thin and wasn’t so excited anymore.

I now kinda get what MKBHD and Dave2D mean when they say “the novelty of thinness wears off quick” when it comes to smaller devices. Until today I’m still impressed whenever I hold the 11” iPad Pro naked, because it feels absolutely preposterous how such a powerful device is as thin as a sheet of glass. But for the Air, my reaction was like “oooh” at first, and 5 minutes later it changed to “meh”.

Hey. Can I ask that if you can check for the Model Number (under Settings > General > About) for your phone if is it still shown as ZP/A set? Malaysia sets should show as such.
I noticed in some online used marketplace, ppl are showing their sets as having different model ID eg (..L4X/A, N4X/A etc) but they claim it comes with receipt from Machines

A little update on my iPhone 17 purchase via Shopee Flagship store

Good news, they honoured my trade in value as I had declared according to the options given.
Got offered RM250 for iPhone 13 128GB + RM100 trade in bonus (shopee) . Apple official store offered mine for recycle, so the 350 is just a bonus for me
As mentioned, my phone is banged up with lots of micro scratches, few dents and cracked backglass, else functionality wise intact, zero water damage, camera works as intended.
Be that as it may, i love my ip13, it works(or worked) as intended with the exceptions of occasional warm with terrible battery drainage (77% battery health), surprisingly no battery bloating

Process itself is simple.

22/9 - Ordered
26/9 - Remobie called to arranged date and time for trade in collection which is today 29/9 ( orginally eta was around mid october )
29/9 - The Remobie representative called like 3 hours prior to confirm my availability, came to inspect earlier than appointed time, inspection wise took around 15mins, nothing technical, simply checking the basic functions, signed the agreement paper with IC, got my new phone on the spot

They gave you some time to do transfer from old phone to new phone, or straight away collect your old phone?

I had to backed my phone up prior.

I did it via iTunes as well as iCloud but restored it using iTunes

I did however made a mistake on backing up whatsapp on iCloud, I did not know it would require a password (of which I dont even remember setting up) or a 64 encryption key, i had always logged into my whatsapp via passkey so i thought it would be a non-issue. So my years of whatsapp is lost, gone just like that

Else, restoring everything was a breeze

I tested at apple store trx.

Hmm can we temporary increase iCloud storage? i don't think my free iCloud storage can hold everything when i backing up.

Just purchase the 50gb iCloud for Rm3 then cancel it next month.

So they delivered your new phone and collected your trade-in phone at the same time?

next time use the "Transfer Chats" inside the whatsapp , easy and fast.

iphone to iphone transfer for whatsapp is possible during initial setup. i transfered without icloud for around 1-2 hours as its few years worth of chats.

other than telco is super slow, UR online can order now and collect by this Friday, seems still got slot.

Finally bite the bullet. Man, it's really night and day coming from my 15PM. It's so light and so thin. My pinky will really thank me in the long run.

thing is i was so used to icloud backup, i didnt even thought of the possibility of it requiring a password/64 key pass since i never had this issue, also i had to reset my phone prior inspection

i had to reset prior trade in collection so this option wasnt viable for me, i thought i got it covered with icloud since it never prompted me for password/64 key before

else, lesson learned, memories lost
