apparently the 'Apple Flagship Store' on shopee allows for trade-in when purchasing iphones via shopee

not sure how it works tho
*
Interesting… that has always been the advantage of retail. Normally pricing is more expensive if trading in retail store

Which Shopee shop allow trade in?

Shopee Flagship store via remobie, tbh i just wanted to try the trade-in options since my quoted 13 will just ended up getting recycled if I go through the apple store. Shopee offered mine something, although not worth its value imo, i just didnt want an extra phone lying around

Make sure you

1) Perform a full back of your phone onto your pc/laptop through itunes.
2) Yes
3) Yes. You can still use your current sim.

iPhone 17 has better A19 chip, better display and better front camera, all these point can beat the 16 pro already.

This year front camera upgrade is a huge differentiating factor.

And it seems battery is better as well. I can live without the telephoto lens. iPhone 17 feels like a “Pro-lite” phone than a base phone. With 256GB at the same starting price as 16, pretty good deal. I’m not blown away by the Pro’s camera, and all the Prolog feature not relevant to me.

The Air, you’re really paying for form over function. But I think I need to go handle one and see how it feels in hand. But based on battery life and benchmarks… even with the Pro chip it perform worse than the base 17… the Air is really the “base” phone if you forget about its form factor.

Lucky the base 17 colors not attractive to me. Only 1 dark color choice since 14…. I really loved the Alpine Green on the 13 Pro. I feel 16 colors are better than 17. Ultramarine and Teal both nicer than Mist Blue and Sage..but that’s just me. But I’ll end up with the black… I really want the white for a change but haiya it’ll show up when taking photos of reflective surfaces.. i guess put it in a case.

Which Apple Store is this? If it’s the Apple official impossible it’s offering your iPhone 13 to be recycled.

Finally got my hands-on on the Iphone Air.
Not really having the 'wow' factor as I would imagine. It's thin yes but as I am already using the Fold 7, once unfolded, the Fold is thinner than the Air LOL.
And size wise, it's just barely bigger than the regular base 17 model.
Overall sacrificing the battery and the camera, no wonder the reception for this model is abit subpar. Just my opinion.

Ah.. ok. Read some reviews saying battery life on the Air wasn't too bad. But the price is not helping the sales. laugh.gif

The trade in itself I believe is a Shopee initiative via Remobie.

Honestly, just trying my luck here as well as wanna experience the trade in process. Ntg to lose also if im paying full. I also saw in one customer reviewed trade in via remobie too.

i’ll give an update later once I got my phone

This is not the official Apple Store: https://www.apple.com/my/
For your model can get RM 1000 via official Apple.

Just now you mentioned "tbh i just wanted to try the trade-in options since my quoted 13 will just ended up getting recycled if I go through the apple store."
So, I'm wondering which Apple Store were you referring to?

Remobie is the backend used by Switch for their trade-ins, I believe. You go to Switch website and check their trade-ins and you will see Remobie on the top of the pdf list.

I know it's not the official store. It is however, Shopee's Flagship store of which I assume is just another authorised retailer . I am trying my luck here because the official Apple store (Apple.com) quoted mine for recycle since it is all banged up as per criteria given. I've been using mine naked since I bought it. Surprisingly, with the amount of abuse I did to my phone, only the back glass is cracked, the screen itself only scratches, body also banged up. Else, it works as intended even with a 77% battery life. Safe to say, upgrade is due.

It really makes very little sense to go for the Air over the regular 17 at a savings of RM1000 for most folks, but as you put it - some people will pick form over function. Still, it’s a lot of compromises to make. Single speaker, smaller battery, single camera lens…

Gotta agree - the Air is the problematic middle child this time - you either go with the 17 and save the RM1k or add RM500 and get the Pro. Those are just more common sense choices.

damage devalue the product. even u do trade in , people will inspect and devalue it. price on shopee for trade in is before inspection. dont think anyone will give u high price on ", when u say " the back glass is cracked, the screen itself only scratches, body also banged up". Mean battery also KO and damage to upper board(if any)

let's just say I wish to trade in my iPhone 15 for iPhone Air, then later how to install esim? because all iPhone 17 variants here comes with esim only right?

i have hotlink Postpaid physical sim in my iPhone 15, so later I need to go to nearest Maxis center to convert from physical to esim?
need to do this BEFORE or AFTER i buy iPhone Air?

i think esim is great for secondary backup telco numbers but not for main number. I prefer physical in case i wish to trade in my phone in the future.
i see why esim is such a hassle if you have it as your only number. sweat.gif doh.gif
