Which is why Apple now wants to sell you a RM299 piece of string so you can wear your phone like a handbag and have more free space for your junk. [2025] iPhone 17 Pro/Pro Max Discussion

I feel like wanting to trade in my iPhone but this will add too many things to fill up during preorder. Scared out of stock. I am also wondering about the possible demand. Anyway this is 3nm process for the 3rd time so I doubt TSMC has problems churning this out in huge quantities. Maybe for the next iPhone 18 that is going to be a 2nm.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Sep 11 2025, 09:51 PM) Why follow me? U post earlier about getting cheap accessories first.. so giving u some credit.. after 16pm experience. Better to get cheaper but sufficient coverage then changing to better. If Apple trade-in, I shared here: https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...#entry112130673 QUOTE(decavalera @ Sep 11 2025, 11:24 PM) From few youtube videos, seems like the blue color is a bit off… as a black kaki, i tot of choosing the blue 1, but need to think again. It looks dirty blue to me.. still think silver or orange. It's sad that black isn't available for the first time... I always go for black. hmmm silver or orange decavalera liked this post

QUOTE(privatequity @ Sep 12 2025, 01:09 AM) am going for the iphone 17 pro max orange, 512 gb. good deal? Good deal? If you want a better deal, then better wait for one month later, those authorized dealers will start throwing prices. do u think worth trade in my iphone 16 pro max? Hmm, worth or not I can't say much but if with better technology etc., why not? I'm upgrading my 16PM to 17PM too but mine is 256GB as I have 2TB iCloud for my photos. I'm sharing the same sentiment as this Reddit guy: https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=ST&f...ost&p=112138006 |

QUOTE(shevagol @ Sep 12 2025, 06:57 AM) Maxis offer additional RM500. For ip15PM 256, it is up to RM3275 just now I checked. But maxis need to tie in to their contract lorrr.. Seriously, unless one really need the postpaid contract to pay the new phone under instalment else seriously no pt to subscribe postpaid plan to get the iPhone. As iPhone without contract (even at full retail price) + cheap monthly prepaid plan is way cheaper. Not to mention to wait for one month or less, authorised dealer or online platform shopping vouchers will make the phone even cheaper. And online platform or even authorised dealer can also buy at instalments. Some may argue that postpaid bill payment can be auto which no need to top up and buy plan etc. but all these can be done by celcomdigi prepaid also. It can work like postpaid even. |

QUOTE(Jason @ Sep 11 2025, 10:39 PM) I noticed guys tend to use Pro or vanilla. Girls tend to take PM and Plus. But that just my circle la. For me, the plain vanilla iPhone and Pro size is already pushing it... i really loved Mini - with 1 hand it’s a wonder. Oh, and I got perfect eyesight so that works. I do laugh at older folks (my friends) who need to adjust bigger text size. I think it also depends on how much one values pocket-ability. Most of my guy friends are all using Pro Max for the bigger battery and screen estate. But I do agree with you it’s a pain to put it in your jeans pocket especially if it’s the skinny or slim fit types, haha… QUOTE(decavalera @ Sep 11 2025, 11:24 PM) From few youtube videos, seems like the blue color is a bit off… as a black kaki, i tot of choosing the blue 1, but need to think again. hmmm silver or orange QUOTE(dreamthief @ Sep 12 2025, 12:40 AM) It looks dirty blue to me.. still think silver or orange. It's sad that black isn't available for the first time... I always go for black. I was so sure I was gonna go orange, then I watched the keynote and thought maybe the blue would be a safer choice coz the contrast on the glass and the frame of the orange looked a bit more pronounced and not as subtle. Then I watched more YouTube hands-on videos last night and thought the orange was cool. And now, less than 12 hours before the pre-order, I still can’t decide. Hahaha… I just know it’s unlikely I will choose silver. QUOTE(shevagol @ Sep 12 2025, 06:57 AM) Maxis offer additional RM500. For ip15PM 256, it is up to RM3275 just now I checked. QUOTE(westlife @ Sep 11 2025, 07:25 PM) If iPhone 17 is iPhone 17 plus I believe more ppl will buy it, Becos most ppl especially Asians had gotten used to big display already. No doubt 17 this year has the best CP value, but I guess those who get used to bigger display may not buy it. Mine changed battery last time but the screen LCD now yellowish dy I think this is the real reason why Apple killed the plus actually. Ultimately, many may be forced to buy the pro max after all. My iPhone SE first gen also bloated. I love the phone very much. Not it cannot be used anymore. and no subsequent iOS update. Now back to drawer d QUOTE(chongkiatz @ Sep 11 2025, 07:41 PM) Normal cool down is ok, while its bad when it on negative temperature , even aircond with around 20-24 stil consider normal , dont worry too much in malaysia , u wont kill a battery in here with "cool down" term 😆 Yea, stupid me last time direct clip to car aircon there with full blast onto the phone while play those game.Imagine the back side of the iphone full blast with cool aircon, the plate so cool ~ |
