I'm not sure to be honest but based on a few being shared here, it seems Apple gives the best trade-in value this round.
As for me, I have an Apple gift card which I need to use it offset my purchase, so I will trade-in with Apple instead.

my order will be delivered on 19th. seems using the apps is much better and seamless than the website

So maxis guy told me that if you preorder, you will need to pay the device price, but after that you can turn up at the centre to surrender your device and they will credit the amount into your bill… say your device is worth RM3k and your monthly bill is RM150 a month, means you won’t need to pay maxis bill for the next 20 months. However if you want to offset the device price with your trade in value, then no choice, you gotta walk in to the maxis centre when the stock is ready. It’s a system limitation, apparently.

So I opted for the latter.

I mean not Apple Store, PO with Switch, Machines etc.
