i really dont get it what so hot about that place

for retirement? maybelah. but if u work in kl and stay there, that is madness

KL got house to buy meh. Come suggest a bit.

New development price tag out of reach for majority of ppl. Old house subsale hard to get loan cos bank also think the properties overvalued.

Stay in condo not feasible if got kid, also need to brave jam to go out and into the condo and to work. Also not guaranteed u forever work in KL.

those were the days when the sungai buloh main road is still small
*
in the late 80s , I remembered my unker and aunt used to drive me from Kepong to Sg buloh (unker's hometown) to hang out for the day. and then watched horse racing I think (got racecourse there? ) .

Along Sg buloh road there's a stream where we stopped to play water a while. Wondering its just my imagination or the event happened elsewhere. Can't locate the stream in google map.

Well, based on the newspaper, can't blame elmina, its the other township using elmina infra to cut through, maybe should ask why other township not building proper infra
*
So called grand planning but failed to plan the in/out traffic. Many township also suffers from this. Not sure what calculation they use to, maybe something from 1980s, that 2 house only 1 car. Nowadays, 1 house easily 2-3 cars.

Name me one township no jam. While the planning is not perfect, definitely have room for improvement. Just look at IOI, Sunway during its early stage of development, traffic is hell even today. PJ road during rush hour is so bad you hardly get 5-6 km in 30mins.

I think those development in N9 are much better in traffic control wise, albeit not fair apple to apple comparison in numbers. But when u see their housing development, there are made right besides highway, hence traffic flow are much better. In Selangor, die2 need house development but when going out must face through small existing old road. Then jam like no tomorrow.

Suggestions, Selangor gomen to spend some fund upgrading the exciting old road, bigger drain for example on area with flood area etc. Not just cheapskate asking all people to run through the old road after bought the new house. If complaint many times at PBT, they will add more traffic lights which make jam more worse at peak time

elmina is one thing

I lagi kenot brain those who bought prop at eco grandeur puncak alam sana

that place is like freaking far and yet expensive too

I am one of these people, live in Eco Grandeur but work in TRX. I was born and raised in TTDI and my parents still live there. People forget that when TTDI was first developed, it was on the edge of KL, with only one road connecting it to KL and monkeys frolicking all along that road in the dark of the night. That road is now the road towards Semantan towards Bukit Tunku (past Pusat Bandar Damansara). When my father bought his place in TTDI at an eye watering price of RM41,000 in the late 70's, all his friends laughed at him, saying why buy a place so far from them, encouraging him to come to Ampang or Cheras. Guess who is the last one laughing? The value of the house now is easily in the seven figures, of which he could sell if he wants to but chose to stay and enjoy his retirement.

I see the same thing happening in Eco Grandeur. Yes, it is far from KL but as far as quality of life is concern, it is actually very nice, allowing me to enjoy the scenery and the laid back nature of the area, similar to what was available in TTDI. TTDI now is too hip, too commercialise with hipster cafe's, restaurants and posh shops and what not, but Puncak Alam has its own charm. Yes, connectivity is bad right now but given that ECRL is being completed and possibility is high they might extend MRT to Puncak Alam from Kwasa Sentral, I am OK waiting it out a bit. And I will not be forever working in TRX, but my family are happy with the life here, and shops and amenities are a plenty around here. The nearby Elmina Mall also helps. People forget Bandar Utama, Damansara Perdana and Kota Damansara were Palm Oil plantations, the 1U new wing was an empty quarry and there was one small road connecting to Bandar Sri Damansara, but slowly connectivity will improve.

I see the same with Persiaran Mokhtar Dahari, Persiaran Atmosfera and the rest of the connecting roads. Once the politicians remember to do their job, it will improve. The worst culprit for me is the junction in front of Alam Budiman, solve that intersection and it only takes 8 mins from my house to the entrance of DASH. On a good day, it takes 50 minutes to get to TRX, which is fine enough considering the distance. And I can still fall back and take MRT from Kwasa Damansara. So in a way, I am quite covered.

I must say you are a positive and a brave man indeed

when I moved from usj to putra heights many years ago also ppl say it is an ulu place, despite it is just behind usj 10 km approximately . but I dont think I am gonna compare ttdi in the 70s with usj in the 90s. to be honest Eco Grandeur is damn far . even from mrt kwasa.

to be honest, I dont think traffic will getting any better. your scenario is just like setia alam in 2015s. before that nkve still bearable.

but now?
