 Proton x70 2025 Vibration UPDATE#4, Advise Please thanks

I sent my proton x70 2025 that is a month old to SC for checking why there is vibration on the floor base and driver seat.

Told them that must inform me what they intend to do to my car before any repair. The assistant service manager said sure!

But after that, I realised my car was not there. The third party subcontractor had do the alignment and balancing to my car without my consent. And worse is they drive my car out without my consent… I have told them anything I’ll co-inspect or test drive with them.

After that, I realised my brake has the problem right now. My brake pedal is spongy and would vibrate upon braking or even idle right now.

I called back to sc to look for manager. Manager don’t bother to return my call and always not there. The assistant manager that served me had given me his number last time.

So I gave him a call and he said would return my call. Since then, he won’t want to pick up my call anymore

My car is only a month old with barely under 1000km when I sent there. The issue has persisted for weeks now.

Nobody take up the responsibility. I have sent several emails to proton HQ but they said would ask respective service centre to contact me.

The service centre there is a nightmare where most of the foreman there are unskilled. They just tried to ketuk2 the brake disc and loosen the nut and tighten it back. Would this be main cause of why my brake act this way right now?

Just a quick update, my brake pedal eventually sink to the bottom.. so I went to SC, they asked me to test drive with foreman. But their outcome is no brake fluid leak, and I can’t stimulate the brake pedal sinking problem. They need me to show them or the brake pedal sink when foreman test drive. Else, they need me to left the car there and they will drive everyday until it sinks.

In the mean time; they said the problem is intermittent so they can’t do much for me and asked me to continue drive.

Is this normal?

Just a quick update to this case

I called to Proton Care to ask regarding the status of my case. The service centre have send in the service report that the car has no issues that mentioned by customer. We advise customer to left the car but customer reject. Hence, nothing that they can do to help.

I am literally pissed off with this kind of sc when they told me to left my car there for their technician to drive daily until the problem pop out instead of inspection.

Hopeless kind of 3S service centre.

##########UPDATE 4%%%%%%% 3 APRIL 2025########## MILEAGE 4400 ###########

Some peoples ask me to try using the water bottle method to check the vibration of engine. here's the video of the vibration but SC said within spec and normal. It affected my daily driving experience. Can any sifu clarify whether it's normal?

Complain brake problem
Spongy usually because gor air inside

Suggest quickly solve this and move on

Vibration is norm for 3cylinder.
If can feel your steering vibrate then can ask for new engine mounting

Is it service centre under Proton directly? Those 3s or some authorise shop register under some random owner?
Print out the list of things they've done, n bring it to a 3s centre.

At the same time, file tribunal.

If u want more hardcore... I viral it though it works these days for some, it's a risk that can backfire need to do it smartly5n constructive n not just trash talk. Words.

Send daily email chaser twice a day. Your emails is your weapon n evidence.

Your brand new Proton X70 is a month old and already giving you trouble? That's crap, man! The service center's actions are totally unprofessional. They're messing around with your car without your consent, and now your brakes are acting up? That's a major red flag.

Don't let them get away with it! Document everything, from emails to voicemails, and take pictures of any damage. Escalate the issue to Proton HQ, share your nightmare on social media, and maybe even consult a lawyer. Don't be afraid to fight for your rights as a consumer.

Now, about those brakes... It's tough to say for sure what's wrong without a proper inspection, but messing with the brake disc and nuts could've definitely made things worse.

Hang in there, and don't let them push you around. You deserve better!

Is it because too fussy expecting new X70 to perform like high class car?
go check with another SC, see if it drives intended or expectation is too high

Ya, looks like a few same engine vibration thread from TS.

To TS, I think you need to accept the engine vibration is norm for 3 cylinder engine...
Sometime when you keep complaining same issue to the SC, the repair outcome is worsen which affected the other part instead. Been there done that similar experience with my other car brand. So nowadays minor defect like little noise here and there I just live with it.

Chia lat. TS new vehicle was driven out of the SC without TS express permission. If accident should happen outside the SC, who will be responsible ? The sub-contractor, the SC or TS claim KDK knock ownself later ?

Vibrate during idle (this have to keep your expectation in check, it's the no.1 complaint for 3cyl geely engine. The complaint is so bad even China dont want this engine anymore and switched back to 4cyl, Malaysia already too late to switch back since they now assemble the engine locally.

Vibration during braking, you'll need new disc (or lathe skim the old one) and pad. Bleed all your brake lines too during this brake job.

With all the problems, no wonder why Geely started using their name for market RHD models overseas. Supposed to use Proton name for RHD. So, it is very likely they will get rid of Proton eventually.

All I can say is to stay away from P1, too high chance of getting lemon, spending all your time service center as they taichi here and there.

If need to get new car buy bezza or axia. At least even if got QC issue, can sleep better at night.

chances are they drive your car out and emergency brake, air went into the lines.
no need to go back SC la.

to be fair, but if u cant simulate the problem, people very hard to help you on the spot.. they cant just serve u one customer also right?!

maybe u try other SC lo.. every service done, they will hv QC technician test drive and ensure all car are good before pass the keys back to owner.. normal procedure la.. but if not sure what to do if happened something..

owner too sayang the car..

I don’t think they wash my car.

And usually for car wash, it’s 7 minutes drive from my place. Not sure the brake is hot enough or not

Perhaps something was very wrong with this car from the very begining already. If only you had put your foot down and not accepted the car as urged by the sales personnel until they had rectified everything then only signing the DO. That begs the question, if it's a new vehicle hot off the production floor, why then is rectification necessary ? If rectification is necessary, then production workflow has to be rearranged correct ? But are other X70s facing similar issues ? No. That is why Pre-Delivery Inspection is so important and it has to be done in your terms, not the sales personnel instigating don't worry the service dept will take care of it. For me, I only do Pre-registration inspection. I don't accept PDI crap bullshit.

I think maybe ABS pump .
My car kena b4 , it only happen occasionally and hard to simulate it . Ask them check with the OBD computer scanner c got any error on the ABS system ornot .

No. That is why Pre-Delivery Inspection is so important and it has to be done in your terms, not the sales personnel instigating don't worry the service dept will take care of it. For me, I only do Pre-registration inspection. I don't accept PDI crap bullshit.

Although there is no Lemon Law, the existing law is sufficient too to give you victory. Just that you will need to speak to a lawyer on how to go about building your case.

In the beginning, I thought because the way I asked for problem. I ask like the following:

Any proton x70 owner can help to list down the problem that they have and what stuffs that they have claimed before?

Then I got a comment saying that who the F are you? Why want to ask such thing? Then my post get deleted.

I proceed to buy x70 and then my car got problem. I post at there saying my x70 just few days old but having issue of vibration. They not allow the post as well/

hello, i had brake peddle sink to floor on my old x5 before.

i also didnt know why

took to sc they checked log and it was the aeb braking the car because it thought i was going to hit the car in front, even though foot was on break, it sunk to bottom

Sabah have good sc?
Base on what I heard, most of the SC there is terrible, especially for owners with higher end model that comes with a lot of complicated electronic.

SC there is just not prepared to service/maintain these type of vehicle.

So when comes to sc, I expect the same situation happen for proton higher end model...

But unfortunately my model is executive one so it does not come with those safety feature like AEB.

I asked them to do further checking but they not even bother to do anything except visual inspect the rotor.

Hopeless on them.

The main foreman that diagnose the problem use the spanner to hammer my brake rotor part, knock here and there and just ask his man to unscrew and screw the thing. They not even dianogse any code or worse they said those things sometime can just drive and ignore, as long as able to drive.

Rather sad to stuck with this kind of sc.

I don't choose recond because want to heave peace of mind. who knows brand new proton that cost 100k+ give so much of headache as well.

you might have an easier time finding people fixing these vehicle than your x70...

i assume you go for the executive 4wd,
cuz holy shet, the road condition over there is really bad.

Trying to diagnose what is wrong within a CAN Bus system of a vehicle is like trying to find a needle in a haystàck. At this juncture I am not even sure that technicians at SC even have the complete wiring diagrams of the customers vehicles that they are working on. Just a quick update to this case

I called to Proton Care to ask regarding the status of my case. The service centre have send in the service report that the car has no issues that mentioned by customer. We advise customer to left the car but customer reject. Hence, nothing that they can do to help.

I am literally pissed off with this kind of sc when they told me to left my car there for their technician to drive daily until the problem pop out instead of inspection.

Hopeless kind of 3S service centre.

I did gave them to test drive the car. But currently they request to drop the car to let them drive daily until the problem pop out again.

But they are the authorised service centre I believed.

Viral might worry to get a LOD from Proton instead and I don't want my retire fund is used to hire a lawyer if this happened.

Yes! I do send email to Protoncare daily and almost twice a day. But not getting a reply from then even they promised 24 hours working hours.

I called to ask for status, they mentioned that they already asked SC to contact me, but SC no contact me though.

Request to complain that particular SC but Proton hotline said they can't do that. If need complain, write in. But write in, nobody cares or nobody reply.

No worries, I just don't trust the sc and their SOP in doing stuffs. I believe if you're here, you won't be leaving your car there as well after the bad experience.

We don't have much SC over here, just dominated by 2 main service centres that I already visited.

Both don't do any OBD scan or inspection on the car, just by visual checking the rotor and driving it by rev high and emergency stop.

Either send it to another SC for a fresh check/diagnostics or you negotiate a loan car from the SC that you is asking you to leave the car overnight for them to check.

I bet it's some authorise Centre so it's not directly managed under Proton, next choice seems u already went to 3s centre, just simulate the issue and/record when it happens or have a internal dashcam to record?
Ask them to rest another new unit, side hy side on the same day, get them to have 2 foreman, drive both and feel both. On the record.

Even Toyota also same. Last time I had that deadly immobilizer problem where it cuts off fuel while driving, what did Toyota SC did? Put my car in idle for 2hours and no problem since the engine didnt suffer fuel cut. Took my car and before I reached home already engine died once. I had to went again the next day, demand to meet their manager then only they acknowledge there is an issue (it seems like they already had a case or two).

Either you demand to see a manager to discuss what you want them to do at the very least. Or alternatively you sought 3rd party workshop to bleed your brake lines like forumer is suggesting. You bark here also no helping to be honest. Take a proactive approach since it involved safety.

My car is only a month old with barely under 1000km when I sent there. The issue has persisted for weeks now.

Nobody take up the responsibility. I have sent several emails to proton HQ but they said would ask respective service centre to contact me.

The service centre there is a nightmare where most of the foreman there are unskilled. They just tried to ketuk2 the brake disc and loosen the nut and tighten it back. Would this be main cause of why my brake act this way right now?

Just a quick update to this case

I called to Proton Care to ask regarding the status of my case. The service centre have send in the service report that the car has no issues that mentioned by customer. We advise customer to left the car but customer reject. Hence, nothing that they can do to help.

I am literally pissed off with this kind of sc when they told me to left my car there for their technician to drive daily until the problem pop out instead of inspection.

Hopeless kind of 3S service centre.

Recently I have contact with Geely Team from China about this case and after that they are very proactive and replaced a new set of rotor and brake pad to me immediately.

But unfortunately the vibration does not go away but my service centre sent a technical report to close my complain case. Since then, I didn't get any further assist from China/HQ team anymore.

Here's the latest water test on my engine vibration which SC said it's within spec, nothing abnormal. For me, the vibration is quite obvious on daily life which is worse than my 12+ years old myvi

Check and see if the plastic cover is fully secured down. Remember solving the vibrating engine cover in a Merc. It wasn't fully secured down that's all.

They replaced your brakes and rotor, that should be good. As for vibration, can't comment much. Different car, different level of shaking. Is it a 3 cylinder engine? If 3 cylinder, then what do you expect?

Its a 1.5 3 cylinder engine version right..

Memang like that one. 3 cylinder memang naturally not stable. Even china geely already ditch this 3 cylinder engine and go back to 4 cylinder

Maybe compare with other owners and side by side, and do a test but those vibration long term can lead to other damages long term. Lot of mounted stuff there.

Ts u may want them to check the tire. I had a strange vibration issue if my car over certain speed it vibrates until bumber is vibrating

Turns out root cause the tire I just change has deformed and no more bulat. Found this out after sc also cannot tell me what’s wrong and I went for on wheel balancing. From there they pin point 3 tires are no more bulat and I claim new tires from the shop

The service centre there is a nightmare where most of the foreman there are unskilled. They just tried to ketuk2 the brake disc and loosen the nut and tighten it back. Would this be main cause of why my brake act this way right now?

Some peoples ask me to try using the water bottle method to check the vibration of engine. here's the video of the vibration but SC said within spec and normal. It affected my daily driving experience. Can any sifu clarify whether it's normal?
