city square should be a apartment condo or high class hotel

during the 2000 and 2010s, actually CS is quite important to commuters before the larger malls are built.

In fact, these days, if the merlions dont want to travel far but only day trip, CS is still the go-to place. Convenient for them.

No. KSL items are not any cheaper compare to SouthKey. It's due to it's close proximity to causeway and the fact it has a hotel/apartment above. With so many people staying there, it's bound to be packed. But I dislike KSL. Find it messy and the last time I was there, the basement carpark rek of sewage smell. puke.gif

SouthKey is the best in terms of atmosphere. However, once I got caught in jam exiting carpark due to highway jam leading to Pasir Gudang. Folks simply refuses to give way.

Paradigm is getting better but the carpark structure sucks.

Paradigm Mall JB has a nice bridge link connecting to Jalan Skudai and the Pusat Perdagangan Danga Utama area.

Lots of Sinkies stay and shop there. The Lotus's is always packed like sardines.
Got many makan places in and outside the mall. Monday night got pasar malam.
There's a bus that takes shoppers to ciq for RM1.50.

I stayed in the hotel quite a few times before.

If you see the picture, the actual exit only 2.

One from the top left, and another from the lower middle right.

Yeah, the car park got a few exit points but the actual road out of the vicinity is practically only 2.

The one on the top left, will kena block if EDL jam or the exit to bakar batu is jammed (which happen frequently enough)

The lower middle right exit, is slightly better as it got path to leave EDL section. But there is a not very big traffic light intersection there.

This MV very easy gridlock.

Paradigm problem good is it exits to one of the biggest road in JB and the entry/exit is separate. But if got problem, those inside the car park will kena teruk

There's only 1 exit to Woodlands via EDL to return Singapore. Other exit is not ideal and will inadvertently get caught in more jam.

Mid Valley Southkey ,owned by IGB Company, is so clever.

Donโ€™t they have any other solutions for this issue?

Do you have any good suggestions?

Do you mean that if there's a traffic jam on Jalan Skudai, all the cars in Paradigm Mall JB won't be able to exit the car parks as well?

even the map doesnt show how the traffice will slow down. Elevated path, then zoom down to P1 level, then return to ground level.

The one design the road very smart but ignore driver conditions.

The upper left road is actually a flyover into southkey.

I think they need an extra exit flyover further away. To avoid bakar batu/edl combo jam.

I forget there is a small exit to the north of EDL. But this one will be a difficult exit if bakar batu traffic volume is high.

Coming soon, the roundabout on the left of the map, will open to another side of the southkey area. It should elevate the jam a bit but those seeking for a quick path to bakar batu and edl wont be benefited much.

Both actually. If Jln Skudai too jam, paradigm mall ppl either take the taman road to escape or jam into jln skudai. But because the car park design is not very good, the jam is more likely to be internal during peak hours.

If come from JB side, then the flyover into paradigm mall is famous for jam due to the volume enter, even if jln skudai is not jam.

I often spend at least 30 minutes looking for a parking space in Paradigm Mall JB.

Usually, only level 3 has available spaces. Levels UG, G, 1, and 2 are usually full.

I think their parking spaces less than 2000.

The Hyatt Place Hotel is open now, and they share parking with the mall, right?
