anyone can recommend any thunderbolt 4 hub/adapter for mac mini?
I plan to get one just to get extra port for USB and other. but not sure which brand is okay. Please advice

Usually if your shipping tracking shows the shipment is inbound in Malaysia early in the morning, you will receive it on the same day based on my past 3-4 purchases with Apple.

Finally received my SSD and usb 4 enclosure. Ready for mac mini liao. Setup straight away change Home folder to external.

Is it necessary to put home folder on external? For average user what's your home folder size after a few years? Anyone with a device for a few years pls report here. Thanks.

Been using 256GB base M1 and M2 for past 3 years. Actually still can la. Usually have like 130GB left. I would kept it around 130-150GB free space. But have to be cautious everytime what I install. Just want to have more freedom using the mac now. I will run LLM too and the models are quite big. So I guess it’s good to have it external.

I see. Thanks for your input. Then for average non gamers/coders like me the internal 256GB should be enough. The biggest apps that I'm going to install are those video & photo editing apps. At least I don't have to worry about external drive unplugged or malfunction situation.
I still can install some big size apps like vm and casual games on external right?

usually apps can install externally. But some apps still needs to install their data in Home folder which is what ollama does. Don’t want to worry about that so just move home folder to external can enjoy the computer at fullest. Since now M4 and 16GB, much more capable than my previous M2 8GB, I’d like to do more with it.

The status shows out for delivery since 11am++ this morning but until now, I still haven’t received my order, not even a call from the courier company.

Only issue I had was on first time start up, the resolution was wrong and I couldn't see what button I'm pressing enter to.

Does anyone know if resolution can be change on first time start up/set up screen?

Once I log in and finish the set up, only then I can change the resolution to proper one.
