I’m not sure if it’s the best time to order right now. School is almost out, and I remember when I ordered my M1 Mac mini around November or December. There weren’t any free or cheap add-ons. When I ordered my M2 Mac mini last July, I didn’t get any add-ons either, but after about a week or two, I checked again and could add on free AirPods 2 or 3, or even AirPods Pro. It felt a bit unfair, so I called Apple and told them about the situation. They were happy to give me the AirPods 2 for free. I’m really impressed with Apple’s customer service. I think if you’re looking to buy something with freebies, you might want to wait until January or so. Maybe when school starts again. I also helped my friend buy an iPad before through the EDU account, and we got some freebies during the back-to-school season.

You all getting the base model with 256GB SSD? Sure it is enough storage ka? I don't do much on it but on my MBP it tells me I have used up 160GB on my "Äpplications" - I have no idea where the bloating is coming from.

Hopefully the module is being mass produce and easy to get in near future!

you using acasis USB4/TB4 nvme ssd enclosure? What is the temp for your ssd?

Depends, you need to go very close to the enclosure to hear it. If turn on it'll help to reduce around 1-3C. I suggest you to put both thermal pad come with the enclosure.
Your external drive just for storage or running apps/system too?

In hind sight, when I was looking to buy the 1st cable it never crossed my mind that it was such a big deal. I just selected the cheapest C-C cable and it just worked. Now with all these subsequent cables, I am even more confused as to what I am supposed to be looking for.
