Dilemma should i trade in 6 for 7 or directly jump to Pro 11".

Make up my mind, going to trade in my 6 for 7. I also traded-in my apple watch which i don't use it now.

Just found out that if opted for trade-in via Switch, you have to use the credit on the spot. iPad Mini A17 Pro still TBC yet. I've contacted Switch CS(WhatsApp's), they told me to inform the Outlet that I want to exchange it with Apple Gift Card, it will have 12 months validity.

That’s cheap, I got my Pencil 2 from switch at 299 previously for my iPad Pro but I found out I hardly utilize it…

I'll be changing 6 to 7 too. Reason, 6 is already 3 years old and Mini hardly has newly refreshed models, unlike other iPads. Also, I only top up around 1k for a new 7 after trade in 6. Why not? smile.gif It is like I only lost RM 1 per day for these three years. laugh.gif Plus, my current 6 is only 64GB and with the new Mini, it starts from 128GB.

Switch offers better trade-in value compared to Apple (for iPhone). As for Mini 6, Switch is just RM 50 lesser or something. So both are comparable.
I heard Machines is the worst of all.

Trade in price for 64gb Wi-Fi is around 1050 + I've UniDays allow me to get Mini 7 for <1k. In return Mini 7 have 128gb of storage (Current one 64gb), 8GB of RAM (Current one 4gb). and a Newer processor. Not only you get warranty ++ but also battery exchanged biggrin.gif. And last you a couple more years. I'm not hype on the AI.

You can google their trade-in price, you save the trouble of selling to another buyer.
I Traded in my Mini 6th together with my Apple Watch series 6 which i rarely use it.... (I got it for free anyway).

Neither Apple nor Switch/Machines will take your Apple Pencil, and switching to 7 meaning your existing Apple Pencil 2nd Generation will no longer work (Hover does work but not charge or magnet)

I'll get back to you on this, I've no idea how they going to issue me an Apple gift card, that's the instruction Switch WhatsApp asked me to pass the message to the outlet.

Ok Just an update also to share my experience with Switch outlet., I trade-in my iPad Mini 6th and Apple Watch Series 6 at first outlet on Sunday, their SOP is to inspect and take photo as evidence before evaluation, they took some picture and noted down that it's on perfect condition, quoted me Rm1410. I left the shop only to get a reply that there's an alternative to exchange Switch Gift card, so today i went there and they told me their outlet doesn't have a Switch Gift Card asked me to go to another Switch Outlet. On 2nd Switch outlet, 2nd Inspection noted that there's a scratch on the bottom of the Apple Watch, and also scratches on the iPad mini pencil charging area (which wasn't there during first inspection), quoted me 1017 total for both. vmad.gif

I suspected those damages 1) iPad mini which i have ESD hybrid case put on since day 1 which got removed twice during inspection, the tempered glass also twice removed which i think that causes of the scratch. and 2) the Apple Watch, it was with the removed of Rhinoshield case which i also put on since day 1, but the 1st outlet staff not sure how to open, maybe their mishandling causes the scratches.

Credit to the staff at the 2nd outlet that slowly explain to me to that the evaluation have to be done on the time when i traded in Even if can refer back to the previous photo from the 1st outlet, it could be due to damage during transport (which like i said it was always in the protective case and only open during inspection), they can't give me the 1st outlet price.

Moral of the story, or note for anyone going to trade-in their Apple Device. If you're not going to purchase anything at the point of time. Ask if they have Switch/Machine/Apple gift card, which is a card that can top-up any amount. Don't repeat my mistake, when they want to do evaluation please be there to see how they open, if they use fingernail to pry open. Informed them that if there scratches is on where they land their finger, it will be on them. and if they knock the device or it fall and hit the table, you also have to make sure damages were on them.
