Anyone here use iPad mini WiFi + Cellular as 2nd phone?

Currently I’m using ip8 as my 2nd phone. Ppl seldom call that number. So mostly use to reply customer WA and act as portable WiFi. Occasional take some call.

Since I’m considering iPad mini, I’m thinking is it wise to transfer the sim over here. So my iPad mini can do what my 2nd phone is doing while enjoying iPad features.

It cannot be used as a phone. Cannot pick up calls. The cellular is for data purpose only.

You can technically have a main iPhone as your primary phone, and still able to pick up calls using your iPad as your secondary device.

WhatsApp has been on beta on iPad since last year.
Meta just taking their time lol.
The only way now is through the web or some third party option

Yeah, other messaging apps have their own designated iPad apps but to be fair, those can be logged in with an ID and not just tied with a mobile no. like WhatsApp.
