Love my Mini 6, despite its flaws. In my eyes, the iPad Mini series is the only remaining iPad that doesn’t suffer from an identity crisis. The Air and Pro models are too busy pretending to be laptops these days with their keyboard cases (which cannot even fold back, so portability is totally killed), yet still fail miserably compared to MacBooks for most tasks.
Will probably pass on the 7 and cross my fingers hoping Apple releases a 120Hz Mini in a couple of years, along with a 120Hz MacBook Air. It’s not about price. All I want is a hand-holdable tablet and fanless laptop with high refresh rate screens.

Been waiting for this updated iPad Mini, planning to get for my daughter. Also happy this one supported the Pencil Pro which she loves to draw on the iPad.

Not sure if I want to upgrade from iPad Mini 6. I have the Pencil 2 too, so everything has to be changed.

QUOTE(soulz69 @ Oct 16 2024, 08:44 PM) nice. but already bought Air M2. Yeah Apple revised the price for the Air M2 to RM2,499, that’s RM300 difference with the new mini RM2,199 price. So it’s just which form factor one will want from an iPad since most specs are identical (except new mini has True Tone flash, while Air has keyboard support) Weight of mini vs 11inch Air: 293g vs 462g A17 Pro vs M2 benchmark: 93 vs 99 cpu benchmark 95 vs 98 gpu benchmark A17 pro is more efficient in battery life, probably why Apple chose this for the mini 97 vs 92 battery efficiency Source: https://nanoreview.net/en/soc-compare/apple...s-apple-a17-pro

I think it's down to preferences where you want a 11 inch or 8 inch.

Apparently, Apple trade-in price for iPad Mini 6 is higher than Switch. I'm referring to WiFi only 64GB. I will switch to Mini 7 then.
My only heartache is the Pencil 2... Probably I will sell it cheaply somewhere or to my sister whose Air is using Pencil 2.

Yeah, either trade-in or sell it to my oldest sis (she wants it) at trade-in price/ It is already 3 years and the price is not bad, I only top up around 1k, why not?
