anybody is using back-to-nature bedding for their gerbils? want to hear some feedback.. im a little bit confuse either to proceed with back-to-nature or return to BC as bedding...

both seems to last for only 2-3weeks for a 2 feet tank with 4 gerbils inside..

however, back-to-nature seems a little bit soft compared to BC.. hmm... i would like to proceed with back-to-nature but i would like to hear what other owner think first.. hehe... doh.gif

hi there, nice gerbils you have there. too long i didnt determine gerbils already, dont know what colour is your gerbils already.
anyway, maybe sometimes it depends on the body structure, but sometimes is due to the food they eat.
the after 6 month u mean the the time when she born till now?

QUOTE(sOuLx @ Jul 11 2009, 10:51 AM)

You can't exactly say that they're bad or wrong for breeding gerbils as food... it's just like how we breed chickens or cows to eat them ourselves. It's survival I guess... As long as they're not TORTURING the animals ON PURPOSE it's all fine by me.

Anyway I still highly recommend BC... been using it ever since I found out my gerbils have sensitive nose. The only downside is they can't dig much or create burrows. hahaha... well that's what shredded papers/toilet rolls are for right?

all gone. this thread is dead sad.gif

@kyser, try not to offer your finger to your gerbil because this is like an offering for them to bite your finger. make sure your finger don't smell like food. but gerbils rarely bite. mine had never bitten me. and you said you just got it home, give him some time maybe few days or a week to settle down with the new surrounding and sounds.

From my observation of the gerbil, usually the female will be dominant than the male. they will mate somedays and/but/maybe the two female will fight for breeding right sort off sooner or later. thats also depending on their family line temperament, usually if sisters they have high tolerance with each other.

Breeding is something difficult, bro! hope you have read and understood on the next step of breeding gerbil icon_rolleyes.gif

Or you can refer to this sites twinsquek.com
