guys. what is the definition of a tame gerbil?
i think mine are not tame enough la..
they dont line to be picked up and put outside the tank.
but they do take food from my hand.
*
everyone hv difference definition loh. some ppl think no bite = tamed, some ppl think sit in ur palm = tamed, some think take food from your hand tamed.

gerbils are activef fela, so don't expect they sit on ur palm loh. if the gerbil know you, when they are outside the tank, they shouldn't go hide. they will run around u.

My gerbils don't like me to pick them up also. But whenever I do, they never bite.. and they'll usually come close to the tank whenever they see me. Maybe they want food. hahaa...

As for this weird conflict in here.. I really don't know what's going on. But what I think is...

1. Stop being so offensive...
2. Don't be so defensive...
3. Don't oversensitive...

=.=" Stop the quarrellings la...

Everynight i will stroke them when they r active... I put my whole arm in the tank for them to sniff me... hehe.. Some will climb over and stay there, but some will climb and jump out from my arm out of the tank.. noty noty shakehead.gif TAME : u decide la...

Since day 1 , more than a year back , I already felt that I was not welcome here by 1 particular member. It is normal for people to have different opinions, yet, we have to agree with our disagreement in our opinions.

Besides this is a public thread, I have every rights to be a part of it. However, each of us can decide whether we wanna be friendly or not. But remember, each actions will always have equal opposite reactions, and all of us must face whatever consequences that is coming.

RIGHT NOW, I NEED TO BREED MORE GERBILS.

Anyone knows why this particular member is so hostile to me? How come I do not have any problem with other members?

who is the particular member uncle? and how come? just curious. come on la guys and gals, dont have to be so harsh sometimes.
at times it really felt as if political in here. well, just try to be friendly to all. but i know some cannot be tolerated la, especially the mighty guy who laughed at how many pets he had and pass away. we know who is he. end of statement.

just chill out and have fun making frens. =.=

@nugget : if a 1.5 feet tank : mine is 2-3 gerbil per tank, or mommy + pups [currently mommy, a 1st litter daughter, two 2nd litter pups-still nursing ]

if a 2feet tank : my 5 males is currently living in one.. shud be ok for 5-6... blush.gif

depends on what u can afford n what u have... Afford : if can the bigget/largest k.. Have : how many gerbils u have.. if below 3, 1.5feet will do... if more, please upgrade.. common sense here k.. wub.gif

How old is the pup? If it has empty eye sockets, then it could be something wrong with genetics. This commonly happens with hamsters but only with breedings of mottleds and dominant spots.

Hmm... Will it be inbreed caused the defect of the pup?

There is a possibility of it coming from inbreeding. Our Malaysian gerbil lines are pretty closed link. Pet shops often sell siblings in pairs. AD Petshop at Setapak sells all siblings, and inbreedings too coz all are the same colours, same genetics. PW used to inbreed a bit till they sold out of their gerbils.
