smartest? I think chow chow's smarter. They can be guard dog, rescue dog and pet dog. Almost complete! but ... they are have their mind of their own. Very hard to teach and stubborn, thats y you'll hardly come across a working chow chow. With proper training and discipline, they are the most complete dog.

hahah....  when my GR done something of course i will whack him not with stick or cane but with my hand, i don't use stick or cane i don't want him to afraid of stick or cane... sometime i paly paly with cane.
i tell you 1 funny joke... my GR done wrong
i take a small cane sit on my chair with angry face and say... ben come here... he come sit infront of me.. i say give me your hand ... he lift up his hand to me ...  i hold his hand and beat it with cane lightly (myself oledi laughing)... my wife saw it also laugh say like school student teaching..
when they wrong i will pull them to the place ask them to see i will say WHY .... NO... they face look guilty and i will comtinue until they don't do it.
My GR love play water especially after bath that day he still remember water in night rain come he will sleep there make himself wet so just clean again lo.. now raining come i will tie him up later he learn rain must come in and bath can play water hahaha...

I think GRs have a universal love of water. My Chelsea ar... if bring her anywhere and she sees a puddle of water, she'll jump straight into it. Funny thing is that she don't really like baths tho - maybe coz we 'scrub' her too long.

What she loves is the ear cleaning and combing afterwards.

ya.. Goldie loves the rain.. when rain comes.. she go outside and play wan..  even after bath..
erm.. my Goldie bath how long also can.. after bath.. must run far far away wan.. if i also will get wet.. 
when i take the comb out.. the first few minute hard la.. then be easy.. she will guai guai down and let me comb her... even know how to turn when ask her to do so..

today i just bath Goldie, normally sunday morning only bath her, but tomoro bring her go see vet.. so bath her today..
after bath, was a tough time to dry her, i cant manage to dry her properly.. haiz.. nvrmd la.. when got sun, she go for sun bath.. 
man.. she does know how to enjoy life and take care her self.. 
Tomoro, Saturday my brother bring Goldie to see a vet, there is a infection on her leg.. and is getting bigger.. OMG! is like human get a scar, then dry will have black skin wan.. that black skin was small wan.. now is big!

hope goldie is okie.. 

Omg Kokifung, don't ever use human medicine on dogs. It doesn't work that way. Last time my cousin's Rottweiler was poisoned to death after licking on the medication that they bought from dunno what shop. The seller also say it's not poisonous.

Bring Goldie to another vet if you're worried but DON'T EVER use human medication on them.

as i know not all human medicine can be use on dogs, but i sure that ubat kuning/yellow medicine can be used on dogs.
i myself is a first aider, so i sure of that, then i also ask some vet opinion myself.

ya the scar getting bigger, but after applying the medicine seem controlled.

ya like human lor.. scar where got hair.. so Goldie the scar no more fur..

everyday Goldie lost a lot of fur even thought she been change the food to control fur lost.. the brand i think is choice.. lamb and rice if not mistaken..

Hi all, I need some opinion here. My GR is abt 3 months old only. Ok here is the thing, he shedd quite alot. Im not sure its the food, or the shampoo or the shedding season. Thinking to switch its food. Any recommendation dog food to control fur dropping?

Bad news for Ben yesterday went  back after work found that Ben have  testicle infection with 2 small hole    send to vet open and clean up, this morning he feel very pain cannot move much.. hope he having a speedy recovery. don't know what causes la..

yesterday i did ask the vet that happen to your goldie leg he told me maybe is an leg ulcer go send for a check up faster..

wah both of them cute oo.. shushu like big sibling like dat.. im sure he will protect kero make sure dont keep playing with kero if not shushu jealous...

I would said both... haha but hope the operation is ok.. if not very charm... going to bring prince to chibi's vet. Since chibi promise to take care 1day after operation because i dont want he travel so far from setapak there

THE GOLDEN RETRIEVER IS NOT FOR EVERYONE!

The Golden Retriever is an American Kennel Club sporting breed requiring daily activity as an outlet of amazing energy. (And no...a short trip to the nearest tree from the front door for a potty break does not count as exercise.)

A Golden's thick coat in addition to a water repellent undercoat makes weekly brushing a requirement.

The Golden is NOT for fussy or fanatical housekeepers. Goldens shed and whether you call them fur balls, fur bunnies or tumbleweeds...they will be in plentiful supply across your living and dining room floors.

If there is water in the vicinity a Golden will find it... muddy or not!

If your yard harbors small sticks, leaves, etc...a Golden's coat will find it.(And inevitably drag into your house.)

Some of the larger headed Goldens bred for conformation tend to have a looser lip resulting in drooling.  Our girls gave it a more technically scientific name..."being slimmed!" (It's amazing what we have learned to tolerate!)

Being a very social breed-Goldens are NOT suited for solitary backyard living or being chained to the dog house all day and night. Goldens tackle EVERYTHING with passion and zeal! They will not be satisfied with anything less than being part of the family. Whether it's a jaunt to the store down the road or a ten hour excursion to the beach - it makes no difference to them...as long as they are with their family!  We call them the "pocket dog"- if you can't find your Golden just turn around... he is probably in your back pocket waiting to see what you want to do next.

Goldens are NOT guard dogs! Golden Retrievers are the most sociable creature on earth and probably invented the saying "I'm a lover- not a fighter!" They have NO enemies and NOBODY is a stranger.  An invitation to a burglar to "come in and take a load off" would be more rational in a Golden's point of view than anything threatening or hateful. After all...the more the merrier!

The Golden's size in combination with their frolicsome playfulness make basic obedience (At the very least.) a necessity. Golden retrievers without basic knowledge of commands can lead to uncontrollable playfulness, exuberant jumping, etc. This is not only annoying and irritating (Not to mention rude.) but a dangerous situation for a child or elderly person...no matter how well meaning their intentions.

One more thing...don't let it be said we did not warn you about shedding!


Having said all the negative...for those willing to take the responsibility and commit to own a Golden Retriever you will not find a more loving, sweet, affectionate and devoted member of your family. (Not counting your spouse!)

i left her at my friend's house, just got back from overseas. Will be taking her later after work. I just wonder how come she is so well behaved with strangers but so naughty when with me. Ish! 

hahah ben also noisy ... when day time with someone around him bark n bark whoever past by when he alone outside quite only    but during night time little sound or movement bark n bark he don care.. like telling everybody he got jaga pintu like that hahah

today 2nd last day to see my roy... gonna go back holidays for 3 weeks in malaysia... ill miss him =( today me and mum talking about the holiday, he kept whining even though im there, then i gave him some biscuits usually he finish within seconds.. but this time he held it in his mouth... then left it on the floor then continue whining =(
